Quotes from the Pelicans' forums-"The offensive juggernaut that is Rubio could not be stopped"

Hey JazzAvenues, can you make it so that I only have to expend the most minimal amount of cognitive effort when reading the threads you painstakingly compose after each win (and we've won a lot lately)? It's a bit too much for me when I read a comment that I thought was coming from a Pelicans fan but that was actually from a Jazz fan, or possibly, a Republican.
There was this one time that I read a quote I thought was from a fan of our competitor, but they said something hopeful about the Jazz... and I was like, "Hey, wait a sec. What the hell is going on here? Are we all cheering for the same team now? Cuz I didn't open this thread for no kumbaya moment." When I read a quote that is supposedly from the bad guys I don't want to find myself agreeing with them... mmmmkay? And I definitely don't want to have to use up any of my energy reading a quote that I've come across somewhere before, so definitely don't include any of those.

In a season that had some points we all kind of wished we could move past and scrap the season at times, I can’t belive how quickly it’s flew by, how enjoyable this team has become, how close this team is to contention, and how much I don’t want this season to end. I will feel robbed if we don’t get at least one playoff series even if it is a 4 game sweep by GS or Houston.....really this season should end at home in a playoff series to a standing ovation (especially for Rudy and Donovan) for a season that had some real low points, but is probably one of my favorite teams and seasons of all time at this point.

We found out we didn’t lose our best player last offseason, and got the best kid in the NBA who’s got the talent to go with it at number 13 last year. This is a 50+ win team if Gobert is not injured, and probably wins more games than last season. In a year where we lost that one guy and Hill this franchise bounced back in an astounding way that very few could in this fashion. A team full of great guys who have outperformed and proven wrong all the people who threw them out and doubted them....and played the best of their careers in a Jazz uniform....even Donovan who has proven he was #1 pick worthy. Ingles got sent packing by the Clippers, Crowder was trashed by Cleveland, Rudy fell to 24 and was disrespected out the door by Hayward who didn’t even give him the courtesy of a text or indication of what he was going to do, Royce who was overseas, Favors who was written off as injured beyond recovery, the list goes on and on, and yet when healthy....this is a 50+ win team and potential contender in years to come. It’s a good time to be a Jazz fan and every Jazz fan should be proud of this organization, these players, the coaches, and the front office for being one of the best in the league. Whether we make the playoffs or not, I hope the arena is rocking for the rest of this season, sold out, and this team leaves knowing it’s appreciated, because this is the funnest cap off of a season I’ve ever watched.

Well said. My hat is off to the Millers as well. We are very fortunate to have ownership of their caliber. They must be enjoying this run so much, and deservedly so.

If the couch warriors can't let this go, at least try to be funnier in the mockery. So ****ing half assed.

Why are you seemingly so adamant that you want to be given false information? It's not been new to this particular thread. I started noticing it a few threads ago and was wondering if it was an anomaly. It's not. You guys are getting your high and now it doesn't matter how clean it is.

Legit complaint, i think. But you're being a bit melodramatic.

Jazz Avenues is doing a fantastic job. For those who want to criticize, I have two suggestions:
1) If you can do it better, go ahead; or 2) Just don't visit the quotes threads.

If you've made any comment about how the Jazz could improve or get better on this, then any reply can be, "if you can do better, go ahead, or just don't watch Jazz games."

Made more out of exasperation. I'm flabbergasted why there's so much desire to ignore the concept of the type of thread and pretend that there's no distinction in the quotes.

Rudy fell to 24 and was disrespected out the door by Hayward who didn’t even give him the courtesy of a text or indication of what he was going to do

Loved the post, oneye. Note: Rudy was 27, hence the jersey #. It mattered to him.

I couldn't have said this any better...

In case you haven’t noticed, the thread title is “Quotes from Pelicans Forums”, not Pelicans fans exclusively. No false advertising going on. Go be a little bitch elsewhere.

I'll be right back, guys. I need to fact check all these quotes before I can enjoy any of them. If even one is less than legit, it will completely ruin the rest.

On second thought, **** it. Good job JA. As far as I'm concerned, you can just make up a few on your own from now on. Give the fact checkers a real challenge to figure out who actually wrote it when nobody did. That should keep them busy for a while, as they seem to have a little too much time on their hands.

As long as they're good and don't seem fake to me, I'm all for fake ones if it keeps me entertained, especially if it helps reinforce unfair stereotypes of other fan bases. Win-win. Actually, win for us, which is all that matters.

You would take the blue pill too if it came to that.

r/NBA is a Pelican forums? Stop that. I only mentioned threads created on reddit's main NBA site, one specifically made by a former poster here. This one specifically. https://jazzfanz.com/members/rgiss.4640/

And it's so disingenuous to think that people here aren't looking for the opposite team's fan perspective. And we're not getting it. The acrimony I'm getting after pointing this out forces me to be defensive. Thanks for adding to the hive collective.

I don't get how pointing out what I did is so dangerous to people here that they're reduced to mocking and bad jokes when fixing it would be easy and their lives wouldn't be affected any.

I don't see why accuracy is so shunned here. Why is everyone here so interested in fake stuff?

I wasn't mocking you.
