I think out of all the superstar comparisons Penny Hardaway is the closest.
The shot at 2:08 is actually Dante. Penny is Dante.

I would take Dante over everyone in his draft class.
I see him as a kid with a ton of patience that is oozing with basketball talent on both ends of the floor.
He's an Aussie, and Aussie's are chill. He's not Kobe coming out of Philly with tons of swagger. He has been raised in a way that he will never demand a new head coach a'la D-Will and he will usually defer to an open man. That's just who he is.
In his favor:
-He will get much stronger.
-He probably will improve his shot.
-He will get faster.
-He will become more explosive.
-He will increase his stamina.
-He will become more accustomed to the speed of the game.
As all this happens his confidence will improve and he could become one of the all-time greats...In my opinion.

Exum is not far off from kobes rookie season.
Here is what is somewhat scary: His stats are about identical to what Diante Garrett put up last year but Garrett's shooting percentage was better.
Not true. Even on his first year, Kobe was aggressive. In fact, Kobe was selected to the all-star team when he was Exum's age.
I love that the title of this thread is itself an unrealistic expectation.
who remembers Kobe's first few years in the league ??? I remember a fast mouth with only flashes of what he would become.
Kobe is one of the best players of all time. My hope for Exum is quite a bit lower. All I want is for him to be a top-10 PG in the league. Anything beyond that is gravy. You are either dumb or young or perhaps both. Kobe was a handful when he was Exums age
