Realistic Options at PG

I've never been a Jennings fan, but I wouldn't mind swapping him and Al. Millsap is worth more. This trade needn't conflict with Mo plans, nor should it stall pursuits for a pure PG, since both can play minutes at SG. If Marshall can be had on the cheap, then get him too.

Looking around the league I see very few PG's that could be had via trade. While none of them are top 5 PG's, there is talent to be had.

Jennings. Rumored to be on the block. Kid is a major talent. But is he a chucker?
Evans. Maybe the most talent of any. But can he put it all together once out of Kings hell?
Bledsoe. Have to wait and see what CP3 does. I'm not sold, but there's no denying this kids got talent/heart.
Jose. He'd be great offensively, but do we really want another PG that plays matador defense?
Kembe. Not sure he's available. But with the way the bobcats are playing plus having no bigs worth anything, I could see us being a good trade partner.

Looking at that list, I'd think the Bucks would be our best chance. They need a decent big and are shopping Jennings. I also think Evans could be had. Not sure Corbin is the type of Coach to get his head straight.

Thoughts?

You left out Collison. With the signing of Fisher, Collison is coming off the bench and I think we could get him at the right price.

I was high on Collison until he kinda crapped out with Coach Jim Carey. I have the utmost respect for him, so now I'm weary.

A point guard that has impressed me is Alexey Shved of the timberwolves, he runs the pick and roll with pek and love very well, Any chance of enquiring about him?

If we can't somehow trade for Bledsoe, I'd just rather stick it out with Mo for the next few years over Jennings, Calderon, or any other PG we would be criticizing.

Mo should be a sixth man scorer like Jason Terry. In fact, he's very similar in skills, size, and ability. I think that would be a good thing and in that role he could be a weapon for the Jazz. Just have to get a starting, pass-first point.

This is the most creative yet intriguing name brought up here. I love the way he searches for his teammates. He could be very good for Favors and Kanter.

Yeah but then Mo is 10th in the NBA in assists per game...it's not great, but maybe we need to start accepting this level of PG.

I'd love to grab Bledsoe. Hayward would be decent bait. Hayward alone wouldn't cut it, but Hayward/Millsap might work. We take Odom off their hands. I haven't thought this through. But I'd make that phone call.

Damn straight you haven't thought this through. No way in hell I'm giving both Sap and Hayward for Bledsoe, who at this point is all potential.

Also Vasquez from the Hornets is just as realistic a option as any that OP posted.

at this point he's #1 on my list of young point guards. The only problem is he may not be all that realistic unless NO is willing to take either Sap or Al. Right now I'm not all that sure they are.

We should have two picks in the coming draft somewhere between 13 and 20 give or take. I say draft the best available pg in the draft with one of the picks or trade both to move up to get the pg of the future, if that's possible. Who that is I have no idea, but might be our best shot.

Calderon is not a good PG, HE SUCKs in D (caps lock fail)
(I mean he sucks at sucking, he is that bad)
and is one selfish SOB in O.
NO pls NO!

Jennings is a chucker, a mediocre passer; a smallish PG and a lazy bum, who plays great O when&if he wants to!
and that does not OKUR very often.
:(
BJ is a worse option even than Calderon btw!

nice find.
I had watched him as a terrapin once or twice.
I really liked him as a collegiate player but don't know how he is doing in the pros!

Jennings might improve if he got excited playing with our young players. It's a question of effort. The Bucks have sucked.
