Remember as the draft approaches - Memo was a 2nd rounder

The Jazz front office can find a gem or two in the second round. Memo wasn't though highly when he was drafted, but if you redid his draft he would have been top five. I hope the Jazz can pull something like this off in this year's draft.

So you're saying you hope some other team drafts this year's Memo and then we swoop in and outbid them for his services after his skill has been recognized in a couple of years, because that's how we got Memo. From the Jazz perspective it really doesn't matter what position Memo was drafted in.

He never said the Jazz drafted him. Just that he hoped the Jazz could find a good player there.

I realize that and I agree that it would be great to find a good player (if we can open a roster spot which might be challenging). But I also thought it was worth pointing out that the team that found Memo in the second round is not the one who benefited from the player he became. Ginobili and Millsap are better examples of the type of second round success we are hoping for.

I don't get why you're giving credit to the Jazz front office for finding a gem in Okur, when the Pistons drafted him in the second round and the Jazz just signed him as a free agent. Millsap would have been a better example.

Good job detective. Don't let him get away with whatever is was he was getting away with.

Kyrylo Fesenko was drafted #38.
Ante Tomic was drafted #44.
Paul Millsap was selected #47!
Wesley Matthews was not drafted!

Trade back or trade OUT!
