Looked like a stroke of genius coaching going 4 small on Cleveland to win the title. But the biggest key to a Golden State title was Kyrie Irving getting hurt.A big difference between Irving and Dellavedova.Irving playing would have allowed Cleveland to pound Golden State on the boards like they started the finals.
Which brings me to the Jazz ,who I think is bringing a anti smallball lineup onto the court with Exum at 6'6" PG,as fast as any PG in the NBA.I can see Exum being a 30 minute player on the court this year, playing when the opposing starting PG plays and sitting when he does.I also think Exum and Gobert have changed the focus of the Jazz ,defense ,defense, defense with Favors closely behind Gobert and Exum in defensive importance.
I'm real curious if Burks is going to get any backup PG duties.Makes a difference who's going to be the 5th guy behind Exum,Burks,Hood ,Hayward on the perimeter ball handling.I think there will be a lot more fastbreak opportunities caused because of the perimeter defense ,which puts in doubt Trey Burke being around this year .Burke is really poor in running the fast break ,tending to throw up wild shots than being able to deliver on man advantage attacks.
Since seeing Exum play and seeing him jump higher ....the Jazz can actually jump out early surprising everyone with a long lengthy defense that leads to scoring opportunities .Taking care of the Jazz greatest weakness as of now ,scoring enough points to play with the elite teams created by steals and rejections.
