I'm pretty sure that a few of my pos reps were meant to be negative based on content. Fortunately in their rage to hate on me they forgot to check the neg box.

Sadly, Kicky has not made this same mistake on the mulitple neg reps he's given me.

It's not exactly hating on me, but I wonder if the anonymous person wanted it to be a neg rep?

hahaha. Why try and save face? I explained myself. I made that rep right after that post did not figure it hard to realize who made it.

And if you really want everybody to sign their neg rep I'm not exactly the one to start with. I hardly give neg rep. I however have only received signed neg rep once. Or twice if i could figure out who Bobo is. Since i've never seen a post from this person and that was the signature and I received it for the one saying I've never received signed neg rep.

I will from now on (thanks to you) never sign neg rep again. It is obvious by your reaction and giving the neg rep back that all it will do is get me neg rep in return from people like you. No wonder nobody on here actually gives signed neg rep. Or almost nobody anyway.
 
Yeah, signing neg rep is like starting a game of neg rep tag with that person.

Meh, I sign all mine. Guess I don't have your insecurities about being negrepped in return. I don't find it that scary. Oooo I better not sign it, I might get negrepped back. Oh the horror!!

As far as why you tried to save face, I don't really know. I guess only you know why you didn't sign it and why you needed to explain it later. If you were really planning to reveal it in your post (yeah, right) then why not just sign it to begin with. Hence your reply here reeks of trying to save face.
 
since its already Christmas here in the Netherlands I've send out some X-mass present to some people. yes some rep as a present.

would have like to send out more. but have given out to many in the last 24 hours

So what happens in here if everybody negreps you? Do you get banned?

Looks to me like the rep game could get to be a sorta social clique game, or maybe if you don't think like everybody else you get folks with quasi-psychotic issues stalking you to try to intimidate you with negreps.

Maybe that's why there's so much love going around. . . . . and so much negative poster bashing in the threads. . . . .

this could be fun. I'm going for the most negreps of all. And I'm gonna be the winner!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure but from what I've noticed, I think negative rep from someone with zero rep power still shows up red but no points are lost. I think grey is positive rep but not worth any points.

And here we are on Christmas day discussing important matters of red and green! How appropriate!

That is the funny thing. Nothing happens. You have to have infractions, which we now know can be given due to the content of a negrep, but just getting lots of them that say "yer stupid" won't mean anything other than you won't have any "rep power". Which in the end means nothing. It is a kinda fun addition to a good forum, but really negreps are the grown-up version of little kids in grade school chanting "Kelly Smelly" or something at you during recess.

I think that the infractions for content is a good thing. Regardless of whether it means anything or not in the grand scheme of things, you shouldn't be subject to degrading or suggestive/disgusting or derogatory/abusive comments any more than you would in person. Those should be dealt with accordingly.

I remember when Hopper had that same post when rep started being handed out. It was almost verbatim.

Interesting. I had about two days where I could try to talk to Hopper in here, and wondered why he was banned. A little checking showed he pushed the limits on the rules and it caught up with him. Sorta looks like Dutch wants to do the same. I hope the lesson will be noted and more folks will just calm down a bit.

Let's not make being a Mod take too much time outta the important things in life for those who are willing to do it.
