I listened to that whole discussion, and the only thing I really came away with, is that I have little faith in anything that comes out of Locke's mouth. The part about not trolling a fan base may very well be true, but I remember when Hayward tweeted something about being better than LeBron, but he was vague about the fact he was talking about video games, or something like that. I don't think it's out of the question that Hayward may have been messing with people.

Pretty sure it wasn't a tweet or anything he even sent, if I remember it was an interview for a gamer company and the interviewer asked him directly if he was a better gamer than LBJ.

That was VERY different. It was a joke with a link to an article explaining the whole thing. This one if done as a troll job seems very malicious. I absolutely agree with Locke that only an imbecile and/or someone with total lack of self-awareness would do somehting like that to mess with people. At no point have the Haywards looked like they would play those games with the fanbase, IMO. If anything Hayward has been incredibly guarded and trying to say as little as possible and give as little hints as possible. If this was done not by accident and if it was aimed, this marks a serious departure from how Hayward and his family have behaved so far.

What a hunk of bullcrap.

The Hayward couple thinks and cares about this deal ten thousand times more than fans. It's their life for Christ's Sake.

I don't think they are trolling at all, but claiming them not being aware of St. Patrick's Shirts resembling a Boston Celtics theme is totally lame.

It was definitely a tweet

If I played @KingJames 1-on-1, I'd crush him. My new blog on why I'm the best in the game: http://bit.ly/1nl2iIQ

(from the image)One on one versus LeBron James? He would get crushed. We would all be witnesses to a straight up annihilation.

It's only malicious if he actually plans on going to Boston. If he ends up staying in Utah, it was just a joke, and judging from people's reactions, a good one.;)

Anyway, I'm not convinced one way or the other, and it may very well have been just a coincidence. I just wanted to point out that Hayward has intentionally done something similar as a joke. And although YOU may find it a very serious matter, sometimes people have different ideas about what is/isn't funny.

Anyway, I wasn't really just referring to the Hayward situation when I said I have little faith in Locke. He went off on a rant about destination cities that to me, sounded a bit out of touch. We've had those discussions lots of times, so I'm not going into it, but I thought his take was kind of simplistic.

He also made some comments about DL getting on the phone and seemed pretty excited about trading for Lillard with our late picks and mid level assets. Checketts kind of straightened him out, but it surprised me a bit.

Another poster said they thought he may have been under the influence during the interview, so I'm not the only one who found it unusual.
