Rodney Hood:: Ceiling and Floor

I could see him being as good as alan houston

Two things the Ray Allen comparison is poor because as a young player he was a relentless scorer. He scored going to the hoop and finishing at the rim, off screens and spot-up shots. So far Hood has only really shown a pull-up mid-range game and a spot-up 3 point shot. Oh and Ray was a much better defender than Hood has shown.

Rashard Lewis is 2-3 inches taller and had a very good post game. Completely different players.

I can see the Redd comparision.

Thought y'all had Hayward set up as your god?

Oh how the mighty have fallen if Hood's floor is Hayward. Can you really pay your god too much?

I know it's usually frowned upon to compare players to players of a different race, but the player he totally reminds me of is Mike Miller! Does anyone remember watching him about 10 years ago? Very versatile, good size for a wing, quality passer and contributed on the boards. I'm not sure why no one has compared these two yet.

Ceiling: Black Chris Mullin.
Floor: Black Wang Zhizhi.

I might amend my floor to Black Randy Rigby.

I hope Rodney Hood is the best he can be and helps us beat some teams throughout the season. I want him to be a reliable and subsequently feared shooter that opens up the low post for our guys.

"Oh, ****, Hood's in the game. Don't leave him!"

I agree with the Rashard Lewis comparisons. Especially that few year stretch while playing for Orlando when half of Lewis' shots were from three. Lewis wasn't very consistent from three on a night-to-night basis but it all averaged out and on some nights he was a scoring machine.
