The Celtics problem is they make the right decision to trade a player 2 years after they should have pulled the trigger. They could have gained much more in return with Rondo, K.G., and Pierce. They talk about it and then wait 2 years. They did it with all 3 players. They talked about trading them and waited gaining much less assets in return. They still came out ok, but not as good as what they could have if they would have made this move when they were talking about it. (a year before Rondos injury)
Never made sense to me either. I guess they were eyeing Carmelo or Love and thought they had a chance at getting one with Rondo on the team.
