Do you think he fired the ball into the stands?
What are you basing this on?
You missed the point. My opinion does not matter. It was close enough to be a debate. I stated that I did not think it deserved an ejection. However, the refs point is valid. He threw the ball very hard in the general direction of the stands. It was caught by somebody not on the court. He has a right to his POV. It can very easily be interpreted his way.

Favors absolutely deserved the "T". That is obvious. That he put fans in danger of being hit, by throwing the ball the way he did. Is up for debate but it could definitely be argued for. So the ref made the judgement that is was over the top. In your opinion it was not. Unfortunately for you it is his opinion that mattered.

That is one thing that really bugs me about the NBA. There is never any word from the league saying the refs were wrong or made the wrong call. The NFL does that all the time. A little more transparency from the league about the refs would probably go a long way with the fans.

If I'm right, The NBA officially acknowledged that refs made a BIG mistake by not calling a foul on Uncle Fisher, on a last second Barry three, in game 6 of SAS-LAL series back in '08 playoffs. You should know that I'm not making a case for Stern, I hate him. Just for the record.

Favors ejection was the right decision.

However, refs should also have ejected Nowinski before that Favors incident ever happened. By the time he slapped the ball out of Favors' hands, Dirk had already earned a Tech.
