Rubio to join the T'Wolves next season

If Irving goes #1 to Cleveland, my bet would be that Minnesota's going to pick Kanter #2. Why in the world would they draft another SF/PF right now? They already have Michael Beasley (the #2 overall pick in the 2008 draft) at SF and Kevin Love (the #5 overall pick in the 2008 draft) at PF. Both players had their career-best seasons this last year (Beasley @ 19.2 PPG/5.6 RPG and Love @ 20.2 PPG/15.2 RPG) and they both are only just 22 years old. The Timberwolves' real position of need is @ C, where all they have is Darko Milicic and Nikola Pekovic. They just signed Ricky Rubio (the #5 pick overall in the 2009 draft) to be their point guard and they drafted Wesley Johnson #4 overall in last year's draft to be their shooting guard. I'm telling you guys, Minnesota's going to draft Enes Kanter @ #2 if Irving goes #1.

I think that they take Dwill2 and then trade Beasly. Beasly has 1 more year on his deal, Williams would have another 4 or so years making less then what Beasley is going to get as a RFA. Plus Minni has Anthony Randolph at the 5. I might try and Move Flynn with Tolliver to Portland for Miller and then waive Miller and use that new found cap space for Jamal Crawford or Jason Richardson

Rubio, Ridhour
Crawford, Johnson
Beasley, Williams, Webster
Love
Randolop, Darko

Pretty decent team

And yet they were willing to trade a vetran C to the Jazz last summer for Koufos and a highly protected pick....what does that say about Al Jefferson?

No way is Randolph (AKA Randolop) considered a 5.

That's right. They should trade Beasley, who they just barely traded for last year. Makes a whole lot of sense to me. If they think Kanter is worthy of the #2 pick, they will take him. If not, who knows?

Even if Williams is taken #1 by Cleveland and Rubio is going to play in Minnesota, I still see Minnesota taking Irving at #2. You don't let a player like that slip. Kahn has showed that he likes drafting PGs (Rubio, Flynn, and Lawson in the same draft) and Irving would have very high trade value where he could get players and picks back that would be greater assets than Enes Kanter. He could also decide to keep Irving and Rubio for a couple seasons and see which rises to the top. Flynn can be traded to the Knicks/Bobcats/Celtics or can play the role that Barbosa played for Phoenix off the bench.

If Minny stays put at #2, I'm starting to think they'll take Kanter. If that happens, I wonder who KOC chooses between Williams and Brandon Knight. The obvious choice is Williams, but it just feels like KOC may be enamoured with Knight.

If I'm Minnesota I draft Williams and trade Beasley, I wonder if Minnesota would trade Flynn, Beasley, Johnson for number 3 pick plus bell . Gives Minnesota. A great core of rubio Williams love kanter plus cap space to go after Crawford. Utah gets rid of bell picks up depth in beastly, Flynn needs a change, and Johnson. Is better then bell plus Utah could use the 12 the on Singleton or jimmer

I initially hate it, but passing on a player like Beasley, who still has a ember of blossom glowing, and who could add the big punch to the Jazz offense, is kind of intriguing.

Until Beasley is found with 50 pounds of chronic in his trunk and we are out a player.

He's a millionaire, *******.

(Classic enough for you trigg?)

Feels why? KOC would skool that old ******* Houdini.

This means Kahn will draft Knight and continue he PG obsession

Taking a big over his "PG obsession" would have won Jazz fandom a title.
