Rubio traded to Jazz

What were the packages people were throwing around on here to acquire Rubio? I'm sure they weren't just the OKC pick.

I don't know, but I've read from some Wolves fans that the Wolves have turned down huge packages for Big Dick Rick from teams like the Mavs, so we got a steal compared to that

Ok, I've watched some Rubio highlights and I'm now in optimism mode.

The bottom line is despite his scoring weaknesses he's pretty much always a net positive and makes his teammates significantly better. To get him for a bag of chips is a great deal. If Hayward comes back and we do something at PF and move a few contracts we're gonna be awesome.
If Hayward goes, not so much.

Tony Jones thought it would take a lot more. Here is what he said in his article about a week ago regarding trading for Rubio:

Utah would likely have to give up one 2018 first-round pick, a future second-round pick and Dante Exum.

He'd do it if:
Hayward was more or less indifferent.
Hayward was gone anyway
Hayward demanded Hill, and Hill demanded an insane contract

He would also do it if hayward preferred rubio over hill.

Rumors are that the deal is done with Teague that is why they traded Rubio now. Teague is set to sign a 3 year deal at midnight.

Their owner had been turning down offers for Rubio all week up until today. Most likely got some reassurance from Teague.
