Rudy's comments

These players are humans though, not simulations. A role of any coach is to manage egos, not just to be an analytics guy, and with all due respect to your playing days, I don't think you had a cornerstone as large as Rudy that needed to be managed.

While he's obviously not the best offensive option or even a good one in last second situations, Quin could throw him a bone. He's earned the right to have the fate of the game teetering on his fingertips once in a while, wouldn't you agree? Plus it might even help the team long term.

Obviusly Quinn knows the players better than me. If doing that he thinks the team will keep united,ok. But there is a lack of maturity there, Rudy is good or great for what he is, if he wants the last shot or be more important in offense he needs more weapons. It's true that are humans with their egos and Quinn has to deal with that

Rudy should be given a break here from thoughts of immaturity. He's given more to this team with less reward than anyone. His uncharacteristic public comment is a sign of a deeper issue. He just needs a little glory for his greatness. Any man would.

This makes me wonder if he would be saying such things if we were playing better? Kind of early to be bringing this up when we aren't playing too bad. Is he worried about his stats more than "the team" winning? Or is he saying that because he feels the team would be winning more if they did what he suggests?

Rudy probably is secretly disappointed that the front office traded or let go Rubio, who was instrumental in his breaking all the team and individual player dunking records in NBA history! If he's not.....he should be!

Rudy has too many times where he doesn't go up strong. And his hands for a big are average. If not for those two things, he would get the ball much more often. I don't blame anyone for not giving him the ball more often. He is great at the lob and dunking but beyond that, not so much.

I don't think that is the answer that Rudy was waiting for but to me Quinn ( being smart) has said the same i was thinking about his comments. But i'm not sure how is feeling Rudy with comments and how will affect to the players chemistry. Anyway is a weird situation
I thought Quinn’s answer was perfect. Address the frustration by acknowledging that the chemistry and comfort isn’t there yet and they’re building on it. . . but emphasize that it’s early and there’s no reason to panic.

Things will get better as the season progresses and guys fit into their roles more comfortably. Hopefully, getting Conley up to a higher level in the offense consistently will help smooth out a lot of rough edges.
