Sounds like the disease of addiction.

exactly. this is one of the reasons i dont like the "disease" theory on alcohol and sex.
sooner or later you can say everything is a dissease even the urge to murder.
but if it is clasified as a disease. chemical castraton(drugs) might be the cure. so it isnt a question of cruel and unusual punsihment anymore. it is more of a healthcare thingy taking care of someone
