I'm pretty sure the Thriller uses the Chuck Norris icon as some sort of attempt at an ironic joke. Here are some of my favorite Chuck Norris jokes.

Now let me see, the Jazz have a 40% chance of winning, and the Rockets have a 40% chance of winning. And both teams need to win for the Jazz to go Playoffing. Well doesn't that mean 40% + 40% = 80% ??????
