On or off meaning what? Because it seems we can only talk in extremes here. I think he will eventually be a solid role player even if I think he’s a bit further than behind than expected. The insinuation that he’s fallen a bit short of my expectations means that I’ve written him off entirely by some. So I don’t know what on or off means, but that’s my feeling on him and I guess you can decide if that means if I’m on the bus or not.
For me, the most telling thing about where Hendricks is isn’t the good or bad G-League performances, but that he is not even in consideration for the rotation despite a very open looking rotation. It’s possible that Hardy is completely wrong about him, but what do I know? Only a few G-League’s game worth, and if I’m being honest, what I have seen in those few G-League game kind of validates why he wouldn’t be ready. I didn’t even have a strong expectation (if any at all) he would actually get minutes this early, but I still didn’t think he would be this buried.
If you have this reaction to one game, you are validating the overreactions the other way. It is a wild idea to me. I’ve said over and over I believe in the shot despite the poor percentages….why would anything change when what I expected to happen, happens?
