Sign and Trade Hayward to Boston?

How many times do I have to say it: THIS IS FOR HAYWARD AND GRIFFEN.

Yes, they can sign Hayward straight up. We all know that. But if they want both, they have to clear out some contracts. I'm sure they could trade Bradley here and Crowder there, etc, but it is possible they just do it with us. Once Boston was to go in full on sell mode to try to sign both Hayward and Griffen, the value of Bradley, Crowder, etc will fall sharply.

Its worth a shot and I choose to be an optimist even if odds are short.

The value of great players on good contracts isnt going to fall. They could probably deal Crowder for the Hornets or Pistons lottery pick if they wanted.

They could probably deal Avery Bradley to any number of teams for a future 1st.

If Hayward wants to go to Boston, it's because he thinks they have the better future. He wont want to weaken the team he goes to. He probably wont even want to sign a 4 or 5 year deal. He will probably go with a 1+1 or 2+1.

Go make another thread were you convince yourself the Jazz can trade Rodney Hood, Derrick Favors, and late first round picks for Kristaps Porzingis.

If you want to be an optimist then just beleive that Hayward is staying. Especially since the odds of that are way higher than the stuff you have been proposing anyway.

This whole premise is based on Hayward and Griffen going. I like Bradley, Crowder and others, but they arent as important as Griffen would be. The spare parts that provide depth aren't as important as another massive game changer.

So Boston's choices just dwindled with the Paul George news. So their big, realistic targets are:

Hayward
Griffen
Butler

They could get two of these if they play their cards right.

Wait, why can't they get George? If anything it made George a more realistic target as he got cheaper.

The Celtics won't win the East title with IT, Horford, PG and Hayward. And then PG still leaves.

Because the best 2 players in the series are Kyrie and LBJ. PG would be a mercenary without a great team leader. He would answer to LBJ in Cleveland for a year but that Boston team would have issues.
