Sign Jason Collins

No, I'm not sure where you think I said that.

1. Collins sucks
2. Collins is gay
3. You think the Jazz should sign him

Unless you think signing a player because they are sucky is a good idea, you must think it's a good idea to sign him simply because he is gay regardless of suckitude.

At this point, I am just gonna go with Ugli's assumption that you are not a real person. Word up.

That's much easier than trying to come up with a line of argumentation to support a position as ill-thought-out and valueless as yours. I approve.

With Jefferson and Millsap likely leaving, who's left to mentor Favors/Kanter/Evans? Collins (either or them, really) have always been low on talent, but got by with smart play. We need to being in someone who can teach smart play to our younger bigs. We could do worse than Collins for that, but maybe also do better.

BRING IN MALONE.

...save the money, just have the big guys watch hours of film during the Stockton/Malone era! Have the coaches break it down for them! Use slow motion! And HD....."high definition!"

Here's what I don't get, what I've never got. According to the OT, adultery is every bit as bad a sin as homosexuality. In fact, the 10 Commandments expressly forbids adultery but says nothing about homosexuality, which suggests that in God's eyes, it's actually a worse sin than homosexuality. I'm 100% certain, moreover, that the NBA has far more adulterers than homosexuals among its ranks. Why is Broussard (and also most Christian social commentators) so worried about homosexuality but not about adultery? One would think that they should be active condemning the latter as least as much and as vociferously as the former. To say nothing about coveting, honoring parents, worshiping false Gods etc. (or to take the OT at its word, eating shellfish, having sex with menstruating women, wearing clothes woven from more than one cloth, etc.) This inconsistency suggests to me that it is indicative less of their honest to goodness moral sense than it is an underlying animus/fear of homosexuality.

In fairness to Broussard, nobody was talking about adultery, so he had no reason to bring it up.

First of all, 1.9% is way too low. It's probably around 5%.

There's a difference between "poppin' mad wood" and "sexually harassing" people. Odds are, every gay person you've seen in a locker room is terrified of this ever happening. Gay people aren't out to get you. They're trying to blend in and not make their straight friends uncomfortable.

Good post Xsy. This is why coming out is a big deal, because they've spent their lives trying to blend in.

I heard he retired. I don't think he wants to play again. Perhaps you're confused on the difference between having a coach (an authority figure) and a mentor (someone not in authority over you).

Wrong, wrong, wrong.
And this is what is terrible about the media. Broussard SPECIFICALLY included adultery in his quote. In fact, he said any sexual relations outside of marriage were wrong according to the Bible. Regardless of personal beliefs, the media should quote him correctly. But certain individuals wanted to slam him JUST for his beliefs on homosexuality, so they only called out part of his quote and CONVENIENTLY left out the rest. So the media has misled sheep like jimmy eat jazz and done a disservice to those who believe in the Bible.
