Significant Other

Way more fun doin this stuff together tbh. I'm meticulously clean and cook quite a bit, but I'd go insane if my S.O. never lifted a broom or a ladle. I'd expect her to do the same if I didn't.

Some of our best married times have been cooking and cleaning together. Worth noting that the fun times stop when it's time to clean for the in-laws coming over.

Haha I knew someone would give me a hard time for that.

I'm talking about my fiancé, but it wouldn't have really fit to say "it's great to have a fiancé that cooks" because I was making a general statement.

But yes, I own this female. One of the best investments I have made.

lol

Yeah, I definitely help, but she is just genuinely really good at cooking, cleaning, and organizing and she also enjoys it. Me helping is kind of like a token "look I'm helping you" type of thing because she is like a machine and it's more likely that I'm just in her way when I'm trying to help.

Also, the never lifting a broom thing kind of skips over the fact that I'll be handling all of the fixing stuff around the house, taking care of the yard, car maintenance etc. it just kinda works out.

This.

HAHA, vegetarians don't like to cook meat so you couldn't be with a vegetarian? I think you'd have just as many problems with your expectation that your partner cook all your food for you.

If you need tips on how to use your stove feel free to PM me. I promise, it's not hard. And once we get that out of the way I can explain how your washer and dryer work, too. We'll leave the advanced stuff like how a broom works for later once you get the hang of the basics.

Now I know reading is hard for you Navy boys, but I never said anything about my wife doing all the cooking for me. Any more false, and lazy generalizations you'd like to make today?

I was pretty happy dropping it after your first response.

I'd rather my wife let me cook or she cooks. I have to eat it so I'd rather not cook it together.

I hate cooking with someone else. I'd rather her let me have the kitchen for the night and get out of the way. I do the same for her. Plus, if we're both cooking, the kids always end up right under our feet. It becomes a cluster ****.

My anniversary was yesterday.
My wife bought me a really nice utah jazz dartboard and cabinet.

Once I get it set up I will take a pic and post it.

So you bought her?
Never heard of Swiss mail bride.

Judging by the early patchwork you really, really, suck at darts.
Lol.

It's in the garage. The whole garage looks like **** tbh

I'm not saying both need to be together. Sometimes together, sometimes separate. As long as both parties are attempting to balance out the workload and the share of responsibility.

Also, maybe U should've thought about that kid thing before having like 20 of em ;)

My favorite memories growing up are being in the kitchen with my mom and dad cooking. Then sitting down, my sister would join us for this part, and eating together.

I basically won't cook with my wife. She tries supervising me and tasking me. I'm a pretty decent cook and I don't need a supervisor to tell me what to do. I really wish it wasn't like that but what can you do?
