95% of the posters that give me any problems are all friends and constantly express their man love for each other in their own little entourage. It's obvious what their "agenda" is while trying to busticate other posters. It's rather pathetic, really.

Cool, Freek, I think you know I don't begrudge you your opinion any more than want to suppress my opinions. There have been quite a few people who complain about my posting style, and the topic has come up before, but I never really addressed it in depth.
You, Blood, and others want to characterize it as "blackface," with all the negative connotatiions that carries. That's fine, but that characterization too is a product of opinion, an opinion which you, Blood, and others may think (or assume) that I share. I don't. By any stretch of the imagination.
None of the dialect I use is done so with the intention of demeaning, ridiculing, or mocking ANYBODY, black or white (and, guess what--they are MANY more white people in this country who use far from perfect grammar than black--another reason why I find the epithet of "blackface" somewhat puzzling).

I am not directing this at you, Freek, Blood, or anyone else in particular, but I have often seen an "elitist" attitude displayed by some who feel that anyone who does not speak near perfect English is not fit to be in the same room with them. They're just too good for, and can't be bothered by, those who may lack their degree of education.
You can drop me anywhere in this country and the chances are good that, with the help of locals, I won't have to go more than 5 miles to be in a household, neighborhood, or town where there is a general lack of formal education and/or accents/dialects spoken that I don't readily understand. Even so, there will be people in that community who are smarter and wiser than I am. They may not articulate their thoughts and knowledge in perfect English, but it's there all the same.
But even those lacking a high degree of intelligence are still valuable people, in my book. They have something worthwhile to offer, if you want to, and can possibly "bear" to, be around them.
As far as my posting goes, anyone who just can't bear it is free to put me on ignore. After that, I really can't see any reason for them to continue complaining. My feelings certainly won't be hurt if they want to ignore me. Yet, somehow, I get the impression that even those who have me on ignore continue to resent my presence on the board, as if my mere presence somehow defiles "their" board, ya know?

Because simply "putting someone on ignore" really doesn't work. Since you tend to dominate any conversation you're a part of, reading any thread that you post in -- whether on ignore or not -- is an exercise in futility.

No, Bordy, I don't quite understand, and I'm not pretending. If you want to ignore me, why would you have any interest in "following" any conversation I'm supposedly "dominating." Perhaps those who I'm conversing with have some interest in what I'm saying, but YOU don't. So why would you even want to read such a thread?

Bordy, a somewhat similar situation has been discussed in this forum before. I posed a question that elicited an answer from a couple of posters. What would your answer be to this question from that thread?:
"Let's say you're a parent with three children. One day the 3 siblings (call them A, B, and C) head off to play at the park down the street with your blessing.
On the way, C gets mad at A, and to spite A, C decides she won't listen to a word A says. A and B are talking to each other. C covers her ears every time A starts to say something. We he is finished, she uncovers her ears, and listens to what B says in response to A. Then A responds to B, and she covers her ears again, and so on.
See the situation?
Now assume that C comes running to you and INSISTS that you make A and B stop talking to each other. When you ask why, she says it's unfair and impolite for them to talk to each other in her presence when she can't be included in the conversation. She says she cannot meaningfully understand, or participate in, their conversation because she can only hear half of it.

I did it as a joke, hopper. I thought you were down with that. And I didn't avoid any profanity filter. It came out that way.
I find most of your threads that you start or take over that involve calling out mods or other posters nauseating annoying and not enjoyable to read in the slightest. It's tiresome for many, and I'm sure you know that. Other then that you're not that bad. I've never directly complained to the mods about you, and I never plan too. This board is open to anybody that's not banned, so your free to do what you like. The only opinion I've ever had in the matter is that I believe you've taken the whole victim thing to absurd levels and those threads that contain the complaints hard to read.
I'm also sure you and others having similar feelings about other posters, like me.

1) I am down with that, but given the tenor of many of your previous comments to/about me, I would never have guessed that it was intended as a "joke." There are many here who would whole-heartedly agree with your "solution" and they wouldn't be joking in the slightest.

I've had about a string of 3-4 comments just saying I thought you had taken the whole victim mod thing too far. And you were taking the whole internet is serious business literally. Other then that, I can't think of any other time I've came down on you. Maybe you're mixing me up with someone else or think everyone is out to get you, when that is not the case.

You made a comment earlier in this thread, about 1 1/2 months ago, which made it very clear that you thought I was a fool, and which served mainly to declare whose "side" you were on (there was no real substance to it). That's fine. Mebbe I am a fool. But I guess you could call that post "coming down on me." Other than that, I really can't recall much you've said to or about me, but of course that's the case with 99% of the posts I've read. I honestly had no recollection of that one until I happened to come across it today.
