Also, for the record, I have a really tough time rooting for the Thunder to win a championship. It's a great organization with great players and great fans, but I can't do it out of respect for Seattle.

One last thing, fans of The Thunder (a fan that hadn't really existed until the corpse of the Sonics was dragged across the U.S. to that ****hole) don't deserve a championship. Yet.

I have a feeling that this is the year Lebron gets his ring. I believe the Spurs and Thunder will have an epic 7-game series, with the Spurs closing it out and going to the Finals.

Heat over Spurs in 7.

....I don't see any scenario where the Heat could "out think" the Spurs and win a 7 game series. The Heat are just too dumb of a team to beat the Spurs in a 7 game series. Heck, the Heat just got beat by the Knicks....one of the dumbest teams in the league!!!

I have complete confidence in Russell Westbrook to totally **** his own team over at some point, by trying to be a hero in a game where he can't hit his *** with a flyswatter. Therefore, I'm picking Spurs vs. Miami. Spurs are the better team, but Miami has the best player in the game, and they should have an easier path to get there. I'm gonna call it a toss up for now. Let's see how the next two rounds play out. With the way players have been getting injured, it may very well come down to which team can stay healthy.

Agreed. Love Durant, but Westbrook - not so much. It will probably be the Spurs vs Miami and I could see it going either way. I'm guessing Miami will take it.

....so your taking the hip hoppers over the fundamentally sound, brainiacs with sufficient athletic ability who can put 5 good shooters on the floor at all times?

Not sure who will win it all but will root heavily against the Heat. Glad that they blew a game already to the Pacers. I hope this means the series goes atleast 6 or even 7 games. Come on Pacers.

I'd Pick the Heat over the Lakers. Same with Boston. My Preference is: OKC, Indy, Philly, Spurs, Clips, Boston, Heat, destruction of the NBA, Lakers.

I am watching OKC v LA and I have to admit I am starting to like the Thunder. Apart from Westbrook and Fisher they are a bunch of studs.

HeatvsOKC

These will be the two teams in the finals this year. We all know that. So let's start discussing.

This is really tough. But I think I am going to go with OKC. They just have more at this point. Plus with Harden just looking filthy right now, I don't think the Heat have enough.Pluse they also have Iblaka, Durant, and westbrook. I don't think James and Wade can cover enough ground to stop all of them.

So who do you think will win and why?

Blues is ahead of his time, putting the finals match-up prediction out there early.
I heard Heat are the underdog now in the finals. I guess I agree.
The teams are well matched, and the Heat could win any game, but I would bet OKC wins 4 first.

Why? Quickness, youth, defense, depth, shooting.

Damnit. I agree with Northeast. That right there is a sign of the apocalypse. Everyone should prepare.

Watch out...

You'd think that OKC would have this... Easily...

Yet... Don't forget the 2-3-2 format. If anything, the road team has an advantage in this format.

Yet.... It's difficult to say that teams like LA or Miami have any sort of homecourt advantage. Their fans are so quiet and sucktastic.

Bosh is gonna be fighting a new animal, Serge Ibaka. Unlike all the other punks he's face, Ibaka is just as long and athletic and a lot meaner.

The frontcourt of OKC has gotta plug the middle and force Wade and Lebron to become jumpshooters.

For Miami: Will their role players continue to score? Chalmers, Miller, Battier, Haslem, Jones etc have all had their moments... Especially Chalmers. When he's shooting well from the outside he nearly makes Miami impossible to defend.
For OKC: My biggest concern? Westbrook. Is he going to play under control in his first Finals? If he tries to take on Miami by himself he might just screw his team up. Get the ball to KD, don't turn it over, and create dunks/wide open baseline jumpers for the bigs.

Perkins and Ibaka will shut down Bosh so it's basically Harden, Westbrook, Durant vs Wade and LeBron. I think OKC got this pretty easily

I don't think so. Bosh isn't a 1 on 1 player anymore. He spreads the floor and shoots jumpers, or crashes the glass for putback or dump offs. He will spread the floor much better than Duncan, who the Thunder were daring to take open jumpers. I think Bosh will have a very good series, maybe not as an individual, but at least at keeping a big out of the lane.

Exactly. Either Bosh will score a fair amount of points or he will clear up the lane for LeBron and Wade. As for who wins, I think it will be the Heat. As hungry as the Thunder think they are, they haven't lost in the Finals. Especially twice like LeBron. They haven't seen the adversity of feeling like the world is rooting against them. The Thunder are a fantastic team, but at the end of the day, to me, the best players on the Heat want it more than the Thunder, and that's why they'll win.

What Bosh did to KG in game 7 he can do to either big OKC puts on him. It's a huge advantage and cripples a D's ability to react to penetration, which is what the other 2 do. LB has been posting up. Not great yet but another weapon, he also shot immediately after receiving a pass much better than I'd ever seen. This Heat team is extraordinary.

If OKC wins it will be from smart play from their stars. If they can share correctly they cannot be defended, and they have the advantage in the paint. I'm not sure I'd put money on that happening though.

Hard to root for either team for me personally, knowing all my friends in Seattle are watching this the same way I watched the Ravens SB. BS. Honestly from a fan standpoint I root for Miami regardless of how much of a tard LB was. I hate him too, but F OKC. Get your own franchise.

Edit to say again. F OKC. I thought with some time it would be different but no. Even as much as I hate LeB. I cannot stand this team. F them and everything they stand for.
