#SochiProblems XXII Olympic Winter Games

Funny thing is that USA can almost beat Canada in a sport no one in America cares about, but no one can even touch America in our 2nd most (maybe even 3rd most) popular sport, Basketball.

One of these countries has 10 times the population of the other. The number of registered hockey players in Canada is only about a fifth or a sixth more than the in the USA. What country has close to the same number of registered basketball players as the USA?

Damn, didn't realize Canada was that oppressive that they make you register to play sports. Do they go around to local ponds to check for your Hockey license?

Interesting series on youtube during the olympics.

Does this mean that in the NBA the athletes are better now than they were 50 years ago? Or 20, or 10?

No, but apparently, Team Canada picks players for the Olympics by going around local ponds.

I know even you're not so stupid as to suggest enrollment in organized sport has nothing to do with success on international level.

Anyone see the medal ceremony for women's hockey? I do feel a bit sorry for the US team, but it was pathetic to see their glum faces as they were presented their silver medals.

loved every minute of it tbh #sourgrapes #GoCanada

Well Don to answer ur question I really dgaf about the US these days. Wasnt worried at all for this game-- smoked a cigar with the boys and played some Chel right before we got here. Just wanna thank God, my mom, and coaching HOFer Jimmer Calhoun for the guidance, and discipline that they have all bestowed upon me. Love you all.
