Somewhere Harpring is Sad

Now I know your 10 yrs. of age you couldn't have watched J@K play they always got star treatment from refs including the playoffs.

Are you saying that S + M got favored by the refs versus other superstars? Are you saying that the other 10 guys on the roster got favored versus the 3 through 12 players on the Bulls or the Spurs or the Kings or the Mavs?

Guess what, you have no idea what you are talking about.

man, jazzfanz are dumb.

have fun rooting for your dirty fouling team that will never win a championship, no matter how good your players are.

i'm with you having an opinion northeast, until you randomly start throwing out things like

i think now might be the time to say "do not feed the trolls".

To say that the refs favor some players, and then to think that they won't give the benefit of the doubt to the team that they think is NOT the dirty team, and NOT the team that likes to foul a lot, is just nonsensical.

The same can be said for your refusal or inability to distinguish between fouling and physical borderline dirty play.

I have never refused to distinguish between fouling and physical borderline dirty play. How is this possibly of any importance one way or the other?

Becasue anytime someone mentions the need for a sirty play you start going off about fouling. Seems fairly clear to me. Have fun trolling.

I consistently used the terms as related but not the same. You did not answer the question of why, if I didn't do this, even though I did, it would make any difference to the discussion, so I have no idea what your point is.

I agree that fouling a lot and playing dirty are two different though somewhat related things. People do tend to associate them together. Harpring does like to encourage players to not only foul more, but to foul harder, apparently as a matter of intimidation or some sort of message to the other team. This brings "fouling a lot" into a grey area closer to dirty play.

In case you haven't heard, the players don't listen to the broadcasters during a game.

Harpring is really the voice of the Jazz at this time, with a huge role in shaping the team's brand, image, reputation, identity.

I liked Harpring as a player, and I think he's a better than many better known broadcasters. I just think he is way off base on the "fouling" and "being a little bit nasty".
