For people with livebasketball.tv accounts - I found a way to make the site a bit more usable. All you need is to make it work once - then you can actually watch several games at the same time, or switch between games within the page without having to load new pages(and having the page stuck at the loading animation). Just hit that button and it will give u the list of available games on the right side. As you see, the game I managed to load initially was the Ukraine vs Finland game, but I was able to switch to the France game by just dragging it into the window from the list on the right.

Mykhailiuk is in for Ukraine for the first time. Makes debut at 17. He's an interesting prospect.

Anybody trying to watch the games at livebasketball.tv today? not having any luck today either :(

Just came home hoping that they have fixed the problems by now but no luck. Still the same stupid loading animation.

USA: 98
Turkey: 77

The US team was a non factor in this game. Turkey played really well, controlled the pace and won the first half, even the first 26 mins to be exact. And Turkey played bad the rest of the way and they lost the game.

Kind of accurate.... I would say that the bigs (davis and faried) imposed thier will in that 2nd half and it played a part in the outcome

THat is usually what happens when a team isn't as good as the other team. They can hang in for a period of time, but it's going to unravel.

It's human nature to take it easy against inferior competition at first.

So nice to see once again that Euro defense can exhaust and confuse American players who are used to play against less hard defense. But whenever their great athletes take the game to the pace they want, they win. A warning to the US NT from this game would be the first 3 quarters. Turkish NT is not really good right now and they struggled If our roster had endurance and a more solid system, this game would be close and even a loss for the states.

Agreed on the principle but disagreed specifically about this game. I believe this time it was the different game style that got the US in trouble not the inferior competition which is indeed a factor whenever the US NT plays. But in my opinion, this Turkish team shouldn't have been a contest for the US team even if they played well. I think the collapse of the Turkish team was completely on themselves. Like I said, it was a game style vs a game style rather than being a team vs a much superior team. I believe that Turkey could have continued their game style and even won the game because I don't think that USA players were the ones who forced them to break, it just didn't happen and the Turkish players just internally messed up their strategy.

They should have done that against Finland. That game was just soo embarrassing to watch.

Faried was good from the beginning. But as for the other players, I see it the other way around. To me, the improved performances of the US players in the second half were the out come of the collapse of the Turkish side. But it's arguable nevertheless and it might be a mix of the both ways. Maybe both the Turkish players messed up internally and the US players forced to a degree and triggered them to do so.

DMO taking huge steps forward. He might have improved this summer more than the total that he had previous years.

With Asik gone he should get serious burn with Houston. He has had a really busy summer. Played summer league then the 50 warm up games Lithuania played and now of course World Cup. With Kalneitis out DM and JV got to come up big.

Yep, the better thing about DMO is, he is a very good pair for a center. Whenever I see him play with JV he plays in perfect compliance. He has all the necessary skills to play along side a true center, and he should play well next to DH too. Maybe he only needs to improve his defense but he is already showing progress in that department too and it won't be much big of a problem with Howard anyway.

We are in the 4th day of the tournament and home team Spain has been rallying perfectly so far. They won both of their first 3 games: 90-60 vs Iran, 91-54 vs Egypt, 82-63 vs Brasil. They are standing at the top of the standings, followed by Greece, another team who have won their first 3: 87-64 vs Senegal, 82-70 vs Philippines, 90-79 vs Puerto Rico. And the US team have won their 1st 2 games, including an early warning given by a Turkish team who are not in their best shapes both in game system, roster and endurance, as they've been pushed to compete for taking the lead until the end of the 3rd quarter.

France looks promising with the missal of their Tony Parker, the last NBA champion PG. Brasil looks really promising and have beaten France in a tough contest. Neto looks like a really good playmaker. Fun to watch. Able to distribute really well.

Slovenia and Lithuania are the other two perfect teams so far, without a loss.

The Slovens have beaten Danté Exum's Australia 90-80 and Mexico 89-68.

Lithuania had an amazing preparation game era, but an exhausting one to say the least and are absent of their very important PG Mantas Kalnietis. They still have been able to win their games against not too hard competitions Mexico and Angola 87-74 and 75-62.
