STAYWARD

Cleveland wants Melo because they believe that pure lack of scoring punch is why they couldn't compete with GS, not because of lack of defense. In the one game they won they did it by outscoring them, not by stopping them. Hence, score more = win more. Hence, Melo, not Favors (or Love).

I mentioned this in another thread, but Melo and Lebron playing as interchangeable forwards will give them automatic mismatches on a majority of their possessions and allow each of them rest from banging around in the paint.

Then the Jazz have to consider other bids if nothing else. If they get Love, the assets the Jazz lose become noise in the background. If the difference in landing Kevin Love or not is Rodney Hood, then it's a no-brainer to me. Kevin Love would go light years farther in facilitating an ideal offense.

Of course, I would love to keep Hood. And Exum. But how are the Jazz paying them?

Could you please explain why a team would care that their outgoing assets are headed to NY instead of Cleveland. End result is the same from their perspective, they acquire love. They won't give a **** about a Melo thing on the side. That's not going to keep them from bidding.

I guess it depends on how much New York wants to get rid of Melo. They say they want value, but so did Chicago and Indiana. Neither team got value for Jimmy Butler or Paul George.

Jazz get Love and Shumpert.

Cavs get Melo, Diaw's non-guaranteed contract and multiple 2nd round picks.

Knicks get Favors, Burks and multiple 1st round picks.

Knicks get younger and save money and add draft picks. Cavs get Melo and save money and get draft picks. Jazz get Love another defensive wing that they'll try to flip for depth elsewhere and they get to keep Hood, Exum and Mitchell. Everyone's happy.

This wait is going to kill me. Minutes seem like days. ****. I feel like we were talking about the draft years ago and it's only been a week and a half.

I knew Snyder should have left the meth at home.

I'd love to see an announcement like what Lowry did. "Home"

Keep it simple.
I'm taking my talents to...WHERE THEY'VE ALWAYS BEEN BITCHES. THANKS FOR THE FREE WINE N DINE EXPERIENCE DOE

So nervous... had hoped to come out of the meeting with a Gtime commitment.

Locke was just interviewing a Celtics insider (missed his name) on the Summer League broadcast. After a little discussion of the Celtics meeting, he predicted Hayward stays. First time this offseason I've hoped a Boston reporter is right!

Dear Gordon Hayward,

I want my life back.

Sincerely yours, Hekate.

P.S. I hope you stay with the Jazz.
