Stockton is #1....but

Excellent observation, calina. So now we are left with Isaiah Thomas as the only player to ever accomplish this feat. Based on this, his two titles, five additional finals appearances, all star game appearance as a rookie, and incredible 4th quarter performances with the game on the line, he's quite possibly better than Magic Johnson.

No matter, though whether it's Johnson 1, Isaiah 2 or Isaiah 2 Johnson 1.

...you must be from Detroit....or kin to Thomas?

Here's the #1 and #2.

No one faced as much fierce competition and still made the finals multiple times. Thomas won two titles over Jordan, Bird, and Magic. Who else is in that category? Maybe Moses Malone or Olajuwon?

Zeke also had one of the best defending 2 guards of all time on his squad, one Jordan considered to be that "toughest defender that [he has] ever faced". A player who won Finals MVP in the first Pistons title (or the second, though I think it is the first). People forget how well balanced, and deep that those Pistons teams were.

Playoff Basketball is a team game. One PG can't singlehandedly lead a team to the championships, even if he is the greatest of all time. Zeke might be the more prolific scorer, but I have just as much (if not more) faith in John Stockton for the closing seconds of a game. Id choose him ahead of Zeke if I was assembling an all-time team, and this isn't homerism.

...right on, brother!...right on!!!

I wish. Isaiah Thomas' family is extremely well educated. Thomas is a very bright dude. Smart enough to run an NBA club. Certain other players aren't even good enough to get that opportunity, or announce.

.....yeah, run it into the ground! He was so smart that he gave pathetic ball players max contracts and others who were almost pathetic, the big bucks. He was personally responsible for ruining the Knicks franchise, which would have been for good, if it wasn't for all the money they get from the local t.v. contracts.
