Did you miss that he was quoting Magic Johnson? It wasn't PG_AB's opinion.

That's Dalamon for ya. He can't wait to try and talk down to someone. He has a know it all little teenager attitude. It isn't the first time he's done that.

Same old arguments about peak versus body of work and skill versus accomplishment.

Even if everyone agreed on the criteria, the "better" player is rather subjective. It would depend on which criteria you value most, and the context in which they played (as you see it), along with other non-quantifiable factors.

That's true, but I don't really see why go with the longevity and body of work, and the total number of stats. We are talking who is better, meaning who would win over the other. It's not a beauty pageant. It's about winning, and being able to beat your opponent. Otherwise, we could make all sorts of illogical judgments based on numbers, like saying Jason Terry is a better player than Durant because he has more career points. That's so stupid imo. If Durant had a career ending injury today, no one would say Terry was the better player.

Here's how I'd look at it. Who would you rather have in a 7 game series? I'd prefer Isaiah.

Curry's got all time talent but personally I want to see him do it for a few more seasons before I can put him this high on any all time list...longevity is a skill, a very important skill for me. Curry could have a career ending injury tomorrow and never play again and I don't think he'd have the resume to be that high...Curry is my favorite player though

lmfao, keep living up to that name.

10 x All Star
All Star game MVP
2 x NBA 1st Team
6 x NBA 2nd Team
3 x NBA 3rd Team
5 x NBA ALL D 2nd Team
9 x NBA Assist Leader
2 x NBA Steals Leader
All Time Steals leader
All Time Assist Leader
Only missed 23 games in his 19 year career

In summation rabble rabble rabble.

I think "stoked" makes a strong argument for Stockton being #1 here!

You put Thomas on those Jazz teams and they don't end up in back to back Finals! And Malone doesn't end up the 2nd all time leading scorer in NBA History! You put Stockton on those Piston teams and they still win 2 championships and Stockton has 1,000 more assists, since he's passing to Lambear and not Ostertag!

Nah, Stockton was not better than Magic. So at best one can put on the homer glasses and put Stockton at 2.

Magic wasn't a point guard, he was a small forward! Oh, wait! He wasn't a small forward, he was a power forward! Oh, wait! He wasn't a power forward he was a Center! One things for sure...he was a "freak of nature!" Point guards aren't 6ft 9 inches tall!

Except...he was.
