Summer 2015: FIBA games of Utah Jazz players

I think we need good wings and we have plenty, including Hayward, Burks and Hood who, combined, could easily eat up all the minutes available at the 2/3. They are all signed for multiple years. Plus Utah has utility players in Ingles, Millsap and Johnson under contract.

Same could not have been said about the 4/5 at the time of the draft. I don't see Booker as a 30 min/per player. And he's an UFA next year. Perfectly understandable for DL to draft a PF prospect who is a bit raw right now.

Spain is a lot different than the US. After the game was over Reyes did an interview with a female reporter and kissed her on both cheeks when it was over. Only imagine if a player did that here.

All 3 teams qualified for the Olympics could have a Jazz player. Brazil-Neto US-Hayward Australia Ingles and Exum. Will Gobert join them?

Tomorrow Jazz held rights of Tomic and Croatia play Lithuania at 10:30 MT. Should be pretty entertaining game. JV however will not play as he has flown into Toronto to sign an extension. Can Dario and Mario beat Kalneitis and Seibutis?

The Turkey Croatia game already happened.....

Even this one is not very close it seems.

Been mostly blowouts in these prep games. Hopefully the real tournament will have closer games. Croatia I think is a team that if it gets good PG play could get to the finals. Their ringer who plays PG got hurt, but he is not very good anyway.

Any potential Jazz players playing?

As a matter of fact Damontis Sabonis who has already expressed a strong desire to play for the Jazz plays for Lithuania. Contract talks in progress. He will skip his Sophomore year at Gonzaga to come play with the Jazz.

Paging AKMVP to respond with hype to this post.

What does this mean? Color me stupid, but at 19, needs to go through the draft, no?
Watching his Preseason Scouting Video... not at all impressed with athleticism... At 6'10", he was having trouble getting above the rim... what's that?

I think he is more athletic than you give him credit for and also there are quite a few good PF in the league who are not very athletic, but the post itself was a joke based on previous posts.

Looks like Hanlan still has a chance to make the Fiba Americas tournament for Canada. He is on the 13 player roster for the Tuto Marchand cup. Canada will need to cut one more player for the big tournament. Jamal Murray is not on the Tuto roster which means he must be out of the Olympics.

Busy day tomorrow in FIBA prep land.

Germany plays Latvia at 9MT
France plays Georgia. Do not see the time yet. (Might be 12MT)

Other games of note:

Italy vs Finland 9 MT Italy is interesting with Belinelli, Gallanari, Bargnani, and Datome. They should not have any problems scoring.
Turkey vs Poland at 11:30 MT. Future potential Jazz player Korkmaz could get a few minutes.
