Summer League Notes And Discussion

Very confident that we now have a very good PG trio in Rubio, Exum and Mitchell. And I agree, Exum may be better suited for a combo guard role. Bradley is raw, but might be exactly what we need as a backup to Rudy.

At this point, if Utah could get Gallinari or even Crowder as Hayward's replacement, that would be the best we could hope for. Lindsey has been working hard. He certainly has a Plan B in the works.

Ummmm. After this whole Hayward decision debacle, Summer League game against the Celtics tomorrow is going to be friggin NASTY. $8 a ticket. Hell yeah. That's gonna be some entertainment.

Ainge likely needs a couple of thugs from the campus police force to act as bodyguards. My money says he attends. That ******* likes to gloat. He seriously needs someone to smack that silly-*** grin off his face.

Offensively, I see Rubio as 100% 1, Mitchell as 90% 2 and Dante as TBD. If he improves his handle, would be awesome to see Dante mostly at the 1.

Defensively, they have a lot of latitude, with any of the 3 guarding 1 or 2 (although Rubio may not match up well against bigger 2s)

Agree. That's why I hope Dante can develop at the 1 just a bit more. He can play 15 mins there as Rubio's backup. And he plays 15 mins at the 2. In a pinch, Mitchell can probably play some at the 1. Or even Ingles. Joe did last season.

And, we'd likely have someone like NWG as our 3rd-string PG.

If Hayward is gone, I'm not jumping off a cliff. Hopefully, DL can sign someone to replace his mins at the 3. Jazz could still win 50+ games.

**** it. I think I'm gonna go to that.

It's a bunch of players on the court who have barely connection to Utah or Boston. The crowd should be fun though.

i want to see Exum show some balls and come out tomorrow and seriously get after it and make his claim for being taken seriously this year.

I do not think anything goes on between them but if Gobert is there I hope he riles the crowd up and just gets the place lit.
I'm more interested in seeing how Mitchell, Exum and Bradley respond. I want to see them play with a spark. They are the future. Somebody step up and take it. Especially against Boston and all their highly touted young assets.

Well Exum and Mitchell had amazing first games. I just want to see that continue.

Lots of assists in this short video (I'm thinking about 15 or so). Watch a Hayward season highlight video and you see less assist to scoring ratio amount in his highlights.

Some left hand finishes. Some and ones.
Last season he struggled but he also was probably the best rebounding version of him we have seen. He has become a pretty good catch and shoot 3 point shooter.

I'm excited to see him healthy this year. It's been a long time.
