Suns Are "Eyeing" Favors

It would be the 30th pick. That Suns pick would probably end up being like 37. Little to give up for getting Tucker.

It's a ****ing ton to give up for 1 year of PJ Tucker. He is an OK backup player who will get limited minutes in the playoffs (maybe). He is 2nd round pick(s). Only a complete tard gives up a 1st for him.

I went and looked him up after this. He's not a great fit for the jazz, imo. Unless Hayward doesn't come back.

He can and has played a lot of small ball 4. Rebounds at the same rate as Ryan Anderson and other stretch guys. Can backup 3 as well. He'd be a great fit... Ignore the wingspan and height and look at what the guy actually does on the court.

I'd do a second this year or a pick swap of #30 for their #34th or 35th if they like that better, but yeah not the 30 this year for a deferred pick.

I'd hold off on "great fit". He is a tough player who can provide some minutes. He is far from a consistent shooter and his defense is more "hard-nosed" than actual good defense. He'd be a good player to add only if we are giving up nothing of considerable value, as in no 1st round picks or players who actually contribute to our team.

I'm talking about Jae Crowder... are you?

If this is Tucker I agree doe.

Well, he has only taken two shots all season from 8'-16'.

I guess you have a huge sampling to say that he is very good from that range.
He started around 18 or so games last year, other then put backs and layups, the 15-18 ft base line J was his go to shot, and seemed to make it with consistency. If that wasn't a shot he could make, he wouldn't use it and he took at least 1-2 of these a game when he was starting in place of Gobert.
I'd do GS1st for Tucker and a 2018 2nd.

Would they?
Do u work in the Kings front office?

Vivek thinks Tucker is the next draymond green.

People keep hearing the word 1st in a vacuum. It will be the 30th pick people. I'd ask for the Suns 2nd (around 35ish) and Tucker back. Perhaps most are right but let's not act like that 1st is a top 20 pick.

Wasnt the 30th pick last year Dejounte Murray, who people here really liked?

The onus is on the Suns to get something for Tucker, not the Jazz. If no one is offering a 1st rounder, which I highly doubt anyone is, then you dont offer them a 1st rounder.

I hear you... just deferring the pick a year is my problem... would swap it this year though. I would think the contract advantages of a first rounder would make it more appealing than just the jump up four spots.

If I was DL I would definitely entertain offers. Especially if they involved Chriss or Bender. If the Jazz are resigning Hayward to a max deal then they need to move someone who is going to be getting a big contract soon, like Favs. So that you still have some flexibility to improve the team.

Favs to phoenix makes a lot of sense for them because he is extension eligible and they have a ton of cap space they could use for him. They have a few filler pieces in Tucker/Dudley/Warren... and they have some draft assets as well as prospects to fill the gaps. It kind of makes some sense.

It is a weird trade market to me... seems like a ton of talent is available that would have been gobbled up in prior years. I'll bet we see some significant trade action.
