Who is next, Phil Johnson? Chieasa? Larry Saunders, the big man coach? Please no, not him.
So a couple of questions about assistants. 1-Do teams let the HC pick all them or does management get to pick part of the staff? 2- Are the Jazz assistants on year to year contracts so that Lowe could just not be brought back without any having to pay him?

So now we have Sidney Lowe (who I'm confident sucks) and one of Corbin's buddies that used to exclusively be the big man coach (pardon my skepticism)? Holy **** this is getting bad. I can't believe I'd ever say I wish we had Scott Layden.

The very few teams have been as ill-managed as the Jazz. Phx is one of them. Yikes that team sucks.

Probably like most Jazz fans, I'm happy for Horny but sad as a Jazz fan as I liked him and thought he could be a good HC but of course I'm biased because of his playing days here.
The PHX job is definitely a rebuilding processes (unless they get a couple of big named FA's) so I see this likely going in two ways. Either it will end in a couple of years for him after the inevitable losing seasons OR PHX management knows this and sticks with him through the rebuilding years at which time he will be honestly evaluated and be let go cause he's not HC material or he'll still be let go because of to much ill will built up over the losses during the rebuild.

Yep I'm sure that is the EXACT and ONLY reason Phil Johnson is not on the coaching staff another thing that Corbin is completely to blame for. Nothing to do with Phil's loyalty to Sloan or his age, or being to soon/close to whatever rumors you want to believe on on how & why Sloan left.

Interesting. What about Harpring? People talk about Malone and how hard-nosed he is, and how he could light a fire under the young guys to play harder, perhaps especially on defense which they need desperately. Harpring is also hard-nosed, but more, shall we say...emotionally steady than Karl?
He's also got more basketball smarts in his little finger than Ty has up in his noggin, IMO.Of course, maybe Ty being afraid of what Karl will say or do is exactly what we need...LOL
I'm happy for Horny...hope he ends up being a great coach, and then the Jazz fire Ty and lure him back here. But that remains to be seen. Though we have no real evidence to the contrary, I have this feeling the Jazz are missing out on something here.

I'm wondering if Lowe is not going to Jail. I thought that cases for failure to pay taxes were easy--pay the taxes, and the fines and be grateful it wasn't worse. But he either hasn't paid to make this go away or there is more to it. His courtday that was set for tomorrow has been continued without a new date set.
In other news....
Dennis Lindsey had this to say about Hornacek

I couldn't live in Phoenix. It really is unbearably hot and dry there.
