Two things:

1. I don't remember predicting a close game. I predicted that BYU would cover. They can, simultaneously, cover the spread and get blown out. I guess it depends on what your definition of "blow out" is (personally, 24 points seems blown out to me). I did say that it was possible for BYU to make a game of it. This apparently means different things to each of us, also. To my thinking, if they cover, they've made a game of it. If they exceed expectations, they've made a game of it. If we aren't looking at TCU's 3rd string in the 3rd qtr, they've made a game of it.

2. I am growing seriously weary of you calling my fandom into question every time I post in a thread. Just because I am not a disciple of the Vegas book doesn't mean I'm not paying attention. You see things from a different perspective than I do. So that's that. I can appreciate your devotion to the numbers, but sometimes stuff doesn't go exactly like it's supposed to.

1: Without going back and looking, I'm pretty sure you said BYU would or could look respectable and would make a game of it. To me a blowout is anything over about 14 points. So if you are saying BYU will be respectable, or make a game of it, then it would have to be a pretty close game. If you're saying BYU loses by 21 points but still covers the spread, to me that is a blowout, and not a respectable showing, and certainly not making a game of it. I guess to you that might be a respectable showing, or even BYU making a game of it, but I have never heard of anyone saying a 21 point loss is anything but a blowout.

2: Do you have some sort of a complex? That's twice now you accused me of questioning your fanhood. Like the troll kept asking me, I'd like you to post a quote where I questioned your fanhood. Either back it up, or shut it up. I'm tired of you whining about it when it's a total fabrication of your imagination. You are the one who just asked me if I even enjoyed watching the games- because I predicted TCU would blow BYU out. And then you say you're tired of me questing your fanhood? You have some real issues man. And those issues probably begin with a guilty conscience for trying to quietly support BYU and their trolling fans. I never questioned your fanhood, and I would like to see where I have done it (especially if I have done it so many times that you are getting tired of it).

Since we're nearly 4 pages into this thing and Salty still hasn't been able to back up his nonsense. So I guess by your own instructions to Bronco, you should shut it up since you clearly haven't been able to back up your weak garbage.

Wait... what? Are you serious? The two things are completely unrelated. I asked you that question (and I was being completely genuine) because you never consider passion or heart when it comes to sports and fans. You are a numbers guy. Always with the Vegas line. And hey, I don't have a problem with that. I just want to understand who I'm talking to here.

Really, I don't care what your analysis of my sports psyche is. But I do take issue with even the allusion that I am a closet BYU fan.

I consider passion and heart, absolutely. I'm a Jazz fan after all, I watched Stock and Malone win with less talent for 20 years. But TCU has plenty of passion and heart of their own. I just can't see how it is possible for BYU to make a game of it, keep it close, or even beat the spread. Well, unless they put their own guys in the replay booth, lol.

Put it like this... I think TCU has one of the best defenses in the nation. I also think BYU has a pretty crappy offense. TCU has a pretty decent offense, and BYU has a pretty crappy defense. The whole thing is a recipe for disaster. This could also be the last time these 2 teams ever play each other, and BYU is leaving on bad terms. In addition to that, TCU has BCS ambitions and knows they have to impress the voters.

So I understand some BYU fans are big time homers and expect their team to be a lot better than they really are. But I am not a BYU fan, so I call it like I see it. TCU is a top 5 team, and BYU will be lucky to finish .500 this year.

I'll waste pages talking about TCU. Just to remind you, I said the real tragedy of Utah leaving the MWC was they wouldn't get to play TCU anymore and that was a great rivalry (both teams even breaking out special new uniforms for their games the last 2 years, and TCU selling more tickets than the stadium even holds). Plus, TCU is the team standing between Utah and the BCS. You're darn right there is some interest in what they do.

Show me where I wasted pages and pages talking about BYU's SDSU game though...

BYU was playing great at the beginning. Their defense looked amazing. But now its 17-0going into the half, and now its time for BYU to give up. Their secondary is worthless. The 30+ blowout now looks probable as a BYU win at first was not out of the question. I will be surprised if BYU scores a point.

BYU did play better than what I thought. There defense actually looked pretty solid at times. I would take this a moral victory if I was BYU or a BYU fan. If their offense ever gets it going, they might be a .500 team.

Yes, I understand the difference between their, there, and they're. It was a simple typo, old man. I hope it makes you feel better to grammar patrol someone who a) has only one eye they can see out of because the epithelium of "their" eye was ripped off in a freak accident this week. b) is dyslex. c) can't think of anything else witty to say. *insert mom joke here.
