So there was a whole thread about how the owners lost money. The players gave in, and yet the owners are still complaining about losing money. This is hard for me to believe.

In a nutshell; The owners of teams demand new stadiums and have the city foot part or all of the bill, while the owners reaps the profits.

So it seems to me we're seeing the owners get new stadiums purchased for them, and not using the income from that stadium that the people paid for against the team, therefore making it look like the teams are losing money.

Does this seem fair?

The Oilers owner held our city hostage similarly a couple years ago, threatening to move to Seattle.

I absolutely abhorr Darryl Katz, and I'd probably kick him in the balls if I could.
 
AND... in Wisconsins case, they just gave 250 million to a basketball arena while removed the same amount from education.

They're trying to make sure the up coming workforce is dumb enough to think that public funding for a basketball arena is a good idea

Teams paid out like $1 Trillion in contracts in the past 2 weeks.

Nobody believes this. And this is really the only thing that Silver has done that I don't think is right on. Oh wait the other one is his hard-on for putting corporate sponsorship on uniforms.

If teams are losing money it is because they know ****-all about operating a team, not because the system is out of balance.

Come on, Silver. Don't be a dumb**** on this.
