Looks like we got a situation up in here:

Raja Bell isn't on bench despite saying he feels "great" before the game. He referred questions to Jazz brass about why he's not playing.

Bell feels and has felt like he's healthy enough to play for the Jazz. Asked pregame about his status, he said "I don't know. You'll ...... have to ask [the Jazz] about that." He added: "I don't really know. It's the strangest thing."

Raja Bell is now sitting on the bench with a snazzy coat — not dressed in a Jazz uniform again. He was just accosted by Bear. #DENatUTA

I really don't care about Bell. Carrole is doing much better. He's always in position to rebound, husltes like crazy, and has a good looking jumpshooter.

And what's up with Watson? Is Ty going with Tinsley for sure then?

It's clear they only let Bell play after his run in with Ty to try to move him before the deadline. That ship has now sailed, and Raja will likely be in street clothes for the remainder of the season.

....and since they "don't pay someone for something they didn't earn" (re: buyout) he will continue to be a distraction the rest of the year. Cool old world motto's and ****, but this is a business, please treat it like one. But since he wasnt bought out by today he can't play in the playoffs......so, yes, continued distraction for a team trying to make the playoffs.

He doesn't seem like much of a distraction. I think Raja is a pretty good professional. If you ask him about something, he will tell you about it, but I don't see him going out of his way to cause trouble.

I'm just odded out by this situation. The coach isn't the one not letting him play...it's management. Very strange, IMO. And he's acting like he doesn't know why either.

So I'm wondering if this is either managment wanting to give other wings more time (IE: Burks)
Or this is Bell being reprimended for whatever actions he's done. Likely number 2, but then why does Bell find it strange.

Seems like more BS. Raja has never been a key.

Maybe he's ready, maybe he's not. Maybe Corbin is pissed at him, maybe not. Maybe CJ can start with regularity, maybe not. In any case Raja is under contract and probably should camp with Tinsley, Watson and Evans if he feels left out.

In typical Utah Jazz fashion, we'll never know what's actually going behind the scenes. Ever. People will make up stories, and people will believe them, but no one will ever actually knows what goes on in the Jazz organization.

Is it coincidence that the Jazz are playing their best ball now?

Also, did you know that March 23 was the Waiver deadline for Playoff eligibility? So if a player was waived by the 23rd he could join another team for the playoffs. I bet KOC knew this. Does anyone want to play the Lakers and Raja in the second round?

Be patient and see how this plays out.

I don't see why KOC would care if Bell joined a contender or not.... I don't see him helping anyone, and I doubt there would be much interest. Remember--the Clips chose NICK ****ING YOUNG over Raja as their bandage two guard.

NICK ****ING YOUNG.

I was going to point out that Raja has motivation to show discipline in the situation in order to maximize his future contract value, but the dude is like 100 yrs old and this may be his last contract. I guess there is a slim chance he could get another.

I love this about you Brown Notes, you just never dither around with your opinion. You just come right out and say it. LOL

This is the best news I have heard in a long time. I hope this continues to be the case and they leave him inactive. I don't care if he is injured or not. He is the worst player on our roster and should be inactive because of it.

We're 5-0 without him. And it's a good thing he didn't play against the Lakers, when Kobe himself had a horrible game, because we would have heard Raja lauded for his defensive prowess and had it reaffirmed "how important" Raja is for setting the defensive tone and example for this young team.

Jazz management have no one to blame but themselves. The market could not have possibly demanded a 3 year deal for Bell; but they gave it to him anyway. I imagine they'll be able to unload him in the offseason; but for now they're stuck with him.
