I'll say it again. The dude looks like he smells like beer and cigarettes and I ****ing love him.

BTW, I met him at Smith's the other day. He's not as big as I thought he was.....

Ingles is now listed at the 10th spot on Rookie Ladder prepared by Scott Howard-Cooper.

He had this to say about the experienced and witty Aussie Jazzman:

There is nothing special in the numbers, not at 3.4 points or 2.1 assists or 18.2 minutes, and certainly not at 39.9 percent from the field as a shooting guard. But Ingles is now a starter and brings toughness, intelligence and maturity befitting a 27-year-old with extensive international experience. He's also a good passer who can play both wing spots. He did not get to Utah on flash or to mentor to fellow Australian Dante Exum. Ingles is averaging 25.8 minutes as a starter because his understated contributions are valued, by the Jazz and the Ladder.

He has been playing well last three or four games. His stats this year make you think he is not an NBA level player though. Still those who know him from the Euroleague and the World Cup are aware of what he's capable of doing. I mean we still may need to wait a bit more to see him completely adjust to the NBA game and bring his A game consistently. It may never happen but if it does, the Jazz know they have their Spursesque high-IQ player.

If he can keeping shooting the 3 and making assists, he'll be a rotation player next year too.

Joe Ingles is quickly becoming my third favourite player on the team. I like players who can do a little bit of everything because you know there's always some aspect of the game they'll contribute in, regardless of what kind of night they're having. He reads the game well, he hustles, and I think having a third player on the floor who possesses playmaking skills in addition to Gordon and one of Burke/Exum is a tremendous asset. You can really see that the last 5-6 games.

Also, I know Joe isn't going to go 0-11 from downtown. That helps.

I like Ingles. He brings intangibles to this team they were missing. I've seen him talking to players on the court and pointing them around he'll pull guys to the side and talk to them. He has a good grasp of where players are on the court and makes some outstanding passes. He is a irritant on defense and bothers the opponent getting under their skin. He's never going to be an all star but I think he'll be a rotation player here for a while.

I like Ingles...he makes you think you could play in the league.

He's a decent player...high IQ, but below average athlete, at best an average shooter, sub par defender and a good passer. He should never be a starter, more like 8th to 10th guy on the roster.

Ingles is ok as long as there are some other, better offensive wings in the game with him.

Sometimes he will be out there with millsap and then the offense falls apart.

Basically with Burks and hood injured.... whenever Hayward sits, our offense tends to struggle

They interviewed him before the game and I have to admit, his accent IS AWESOME!!! It's even better than Dante's. I don't care if he's the slowest white guy I've ever seen, I just want to hear him talk.

You should have heard Motum. Now he has that accent.
