Punch Bowl Re-Filler
OK, I realize this is a new thread and we already have the "Can the CJ Experiment Please End" one. But this is a serious question and I'd like to run a poll.
I don't think it's mere coincidence that Kobe had his worst EVER shooting game and then Durant went 6-22. Unlike Kobe, Durant even gave credit for the tough "D" while at the same time saying you can't shoot like that if you're one of the main guys.
If the Jazz make the playoffs and Golden State tanks and falls to the #7 slot or lower - and both of those look like very real possibilities right now - the Jazz will be left without a pick. IMO, this draft looked very strong in terms of SF's and that's what I thought KOC would target. But without a pick, Jazz may have a problem.
Most of us have been adamant about NOT wanting CJ back. But it's hard to ignore his last couple of games. What would he need to do to change your mind? Could he change your mind, especially if Raja were to be traded? Should the Jazz offer him a new contract?
I have to admit the Kobe game opened my eyes. Miles definitely has skills on both ends of the court. He's just so inconsistent and lackadaisical at times. But if the Jazz under Favors and Kanter start to develop some nastiness, CJ could buy in. Could he be the token starter at either SF or SG and play 7-8 mins before Hayward or Burks comes in and plays the rest of the half? On the other hand, it's never a good sign when your shooting percentage has declined 5 years running.
