The Gordon Hayward Question(s)

Your mom and my genitals are synonymous. You should have noticed that by now.

Oh, you don't even know the meaning of the word. I'll keep in mind your education level for any future insults.

Hayward is awesome. Definitely a future all-star. And I love his work hard, play hard, no pretense attitude. He reminds me so much of Stockton that way. We were watching the game last night and the Jazz started running a big play down the stretch, and my husband and I both said at the same time, "give the ball to Hayward and let him do something with it." He's that kind of player. Get him the ball and he'll make something happen whether he shoots, drives and passes, or goes to the hoop himself. I hope they don't let him get away, but his humility and no-flash personality I think make him more likely to stick around. A rare breed in these days of superstar divas who follow the money and create their "super teams" (**cough cough**Miami**cough).

I like Hayward, but I see him as more of a Scottie Pippen type player than a Michael Jordan type player, that is an all star with an all around good game but not the dominant superstar.

Pippen was a dominant superstar. Just over shadowed by an even better one.

18-4-4-2 would DEFINITELY put him in the allstar game. Those are bloody rare averages.

If he keeps playing at his current level than he is pretty much there.

Last 10 - 17ppg, 4.8rpg, 3.0asp, .8 spg.
April looks even better 18.5ppg, 4.7rpg, 3.2asp, 1spg

May have to put a Gordo shrine on my lounge wall. Make sure visitors give thanks when they arrive.

I think as time goes by the offense will go through Hayward as his confidence continues to rise, which means his scoring and assists could go up. I think he will continue together better over the next 3-4 years I can see him someday scoring over 20 points per game, and between 5-7 assists per game.

Anyone else terrified that Portland is just going to swoop in again with some ridiculus offer sheet and steal him away?

****, @ 19:53 mark Phil Johnson says "We had some players on the team who aren't on the team now that didn't think he (Hayward) was going to be a good player.". Clearly a jab at Dwill.

Another Dwill jab at 27:15.

When you first come into the league and you have your team leaders and vets saying you are not going to make I bet it messes with your head.

I do not know if it means DWill but either way that is retarded of the players saying it. If you really think that then fine. Keep it to yourself and let the kid have a chance.
