What's new

The Jazz have acquired the 13th pick and select Donovan Mitchell

Tee hee...

Remember when we combined Trey Lyles and the 24th for Donovan Mitchell? Tee hee hee.

As a RMR Homer, that was the most complete game I have EVER seen a Jazz pick have. And we traded Trey Lyles with the Nuggets who have 8 stretch 4s or something like that...

I am giddy as a schoolgirl right now. Donovan Mitchell will make us forget George Hill and Trey Lyles...

Tee hee hee.

I mean, those step back jumpers, extra passes, and steals though...!!!

Don't worry. Donovan Mitchell will fill that role when he's not on the court. He's really supportive of his teammates. Gotta say that Lyles took a step back in the celebration department after a STELLAR rookie season.
Yep. Loved Donovan demeanor on the bench in the SL game.

Ah man, I cannot wait to watch him play in the Vegas summer league. I'll be heading to Vegas on Friday. Attend some Jazz games after that.

Mitchell ranks 10th out of 50 notable nba prospects for the Las Vegas summer leagu on bleachereport. That's pretty cool and I think he'll do a lot more this time now that Exum is not participating thus surprising even more ppl.

Not sure if it's been discussed but I heard Locke on the radio today saying he was at the Donovan Mitchell jazz pre draft workout and was blown away by him..... as was lindsey
Apparently DL told Locke that if he says anything to anyone about how much DL likes mitchell that he would be fired. He said he didn't know if DL was joking or not but he took him seriously and wouldn't say anything to anyone about the workout.

Good. I think everyone was surprised that the Jazz did that. I'm so glad that we have this kid. I see big things in his future. I enjoy every game. Every interview.

I believe the story is that he told everybody present that, not just Locke.

DM will struggle with his shooting the 1st year, which is fine all rookies do especially last few seasons. But we need to throw him to the wolves, I don't think him getting schooled by Harden, Klay, Butler and such will hurt his confidence but instead fire him up and allow him to learn from mistakes.

DM is a joy to watch in front of a camera, love the way he carries himself in every interview.

I'm not a fan of players that tend to scream, defy rivals, clap their hands and stare at them, and I'd like to see Mitchell keep it to a minimum, but what I love about him is that like he said in one of those videos, he's actually not like that at all off the court. Having talented guys is the foundation for every winning team, but having guys with high character and a good head on their shoulders is just as critical for a franchise, especially in the long run.

Definitely one of the best moves by Lindsey.

I think one of the reasons that DM got in Tatum's face is because Tatum was staring down people when he hit his first couple shots. Tatum started it. Mitchell just finished it.
