Not true... but, I guess that makes it okay then...

Honestly, this is how Phil Jackson got so many rings. All he needed to do was keep the game close and put the onus on the refs to make the calls. And when you have a close game, with two fairly evenly matched teams, it sometimes only takes 1-2 blatantly bad/missed calls to give one team the win over the other.
Stick your head in the sand about it all you want. But, you know deep down we're all just watching a glorified WWE match on most nights, and everyone knows it.
That's why, after 98-99, when I was 18 years old, I knew to try to never fully emotionally attach myself to a basketball team/game ever again. I can't say I've been successful at that, but after the season's over, and the Jazz are out, I look back at the last games/playoff series/etc. and see the blatant one-sided miscalls and realize again and again that there is no chance for the Jazz to win a championship as long as the NBA feels it needs to cater to it's big names, stars, and franchises.
Since I've been born, in 32 years, only 10 different teams have won the NBA championship and only 4 different Western Conf teams. Lakers (10), Spurs (4), Rockets (2), Mavs (1).
Utah won't ever get one, as long as the refs have an agenda and can purposefully sway a game one way or the other depending on who their bosses want them to win.
