I felt the same way for the 1st 6 months or so after I learned about the science and developed a desire to mediate. Quite honestly, nothing worked for me till I typed out a schedule that had me meditating in the morning and downloaded an app to keep track of my progress. Meditating first thing in the morning has probably been the thing that has kept me doing it every day. I found that when I do this, my outlook on the day changes and its easier to meditate later on. Also, it was hard to start mediating in the morning for the 1st 10 days or so, but gradually it became something I looked forward to. I'm trying to mediate for 45-60 mins each day but I break it up into two sessions. I've had to work my way up to this much though. No way I could have started with this much. It took about a month before the desire of an hour a day started to form.
Keep at it, man; its been worth it for me. If there is power in mediation, it probably stems from practicing every day. The best part to me so far is I am experiencing life from a more meaningful place.
