The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

I think coordination is a big part of getting hurt/not hurt.

Ya probably. Riskier play probably is as well though. Wemby will probably fly through the air in traffic more frequently than someone like kessler for example.

Really interested to see how the Wizards fare this season. Obviously they will be bad because of the quality level in the NBA, but they have a really fun team.

Jones
Poole
Bilal
Kuzma
Gafford

That's a fun starting five then you got quality rookie contract rotation players like Kispert and Deni and quality vet like Wright, outside of that it's a pretty bad roster.

They look like the dream team versus this jet lagged Aussie team.

Someone has probably mentioned this, but Markelle Fultz is a free agent to keep an eye on. If he breaks out this year the Jazz could sign him to pair with George long-term.

Big shout out to Trent Forrest who was 5-6 shooting, three assists, two steal’s including the game winner on an old fashioned three point play winning it at the charity stripe. Snyder was smiling like a Cheshire Cat after that Houdini trick.

Second shoutout to NAW who has looked great in consecutive starts for the Wolves. Looks to finally have his opportunity for regular extended minutes.

Asking for a friend:

If your NBA team loses to a soccer club, is that a bad sign?
In a remotely meaningful game, yes.

I think NBA teams try to loose these types of games. Its mildly amusing to watch how into the game these types of teams get, and how casual NBA teams get, especially towards the end.

Kings starters got destroyed by Lakers who sat out Lebron, AD, Reaves, Vando and Reddish. Kings were only missing Keegan Murray and they lost Sabonis + Fox minutes by 12 despite Sabonis getting 16 boards and Fox scoring 18 points in those minutes.

They didn't look as good offensively as they did last year but looked as bad defensively. Their lack of paint defenders will hurt them this year. Lakers starting 5 Prince/Rui/Hayes/DLo/Vincent went for combined 17/23 inside the 3 point line and scored in the paint at will.
