The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

Tulsi as a Russian agent is bs and a scheme to thwart Progressives.

agents and assets aren’t synonymous.

Being a useful idiot in exchange for promoting your brand as a third party candidate is different than being James Bond.

Again, much can be solved by reading. If you wonder how Russia has historically used useful idiots, Google is just a few clicks away.

I challenge your premise that Obama “allowed” it. Prove it with evidence.
Meddling happened under the Obama administration. It was well known that Russia was meddling in 2014 and that's before Trump was even a candidate. Some in Obama's own cabinet even admit that he didn't do anything because he traded the American election for his deal with Iran. He needed Russia , he even openly admitted on a hot microphone to giving them "more leeway once he was re-elected". Now what do you think he meant by that?

He also told his intelligence agencies to stand down when they affirmed that Russia was meddling.

From CNN

The Mueller report flatly states that Russia began interfering in American democracy in 2014. Over the next couple of years, the effort blossomed into a robust attempt to interfere in our 2016 presidential election. The Obama administration knew this was going on and yet did nothing. In 2016, Obama's National Security Adviser Susan Rice told her staff to "stand down" and "knock it off" as they drew up plans to "strike back" against the Russians, according to an account from Michael Isikoff and David Corn in their book "Russian Roulette: The Inside Story of Putin's War on America and the Election of Donald Trump".

So enlighten me. Its a fact we knew Russia was meddling before Trump even put his name in the box. This is 100% fact. Now why didn't Obama stop it? Why did Ihe order his intelligence agencies to "stand down"?

Obama cyber chief confirms 'stand down' order against Russian cyberattacks in summer 2016

President Obama’s national security adviser, to stop his efforts and “stand down.” This order was in part because Rice feared the options would leak and “box the president in.”

“I was incredulous and in disbelief,” Prieto is quoted as saying in the book. “It took me a moment to process. In my head, I was like, did I hear that correctly?” Prieto told the authors he then spoke up, asking Daniel: “Why the hell are we standing down? Michael, can you help us understand?”

Suddenly, evidence wont matter to good ol jazzy

You guys can't answer it. You know as a fact that this all leads to one guy who failed to protect our elections. This was an Obama failure. That is very consistent with the conversation at hand.

History lessons about Obama are academically instructive. But since Russian influence continues today, I’m wondering why trump is “allowing” it?

If like to know that as well but in reality its happened long before Obama and will continue to happen.

so let’s blame Obama for allowing it to happen, call the investigation into the matter a witch hunt, give the current admin a free pass, and continue to roll over for Putin.

This all seems totally sensible.

The investigation was about collision not Russian interference.

Stop lying

On May 17, 2017, Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein—then serving as Acting Attorney General for the Russia investigation following the recusal of former Attorney General Jeff Sessions on March 2, 2016—appointed the Special Counsel “to investigate Russian interference with the 2016 presidential election and related matters.” Office of the Deputy Att’y Gen., Order No. 3915-2017, Appointment of Special Counsel to Investigate Russian Interference with the 2016 Presidential Election and Related Matters, May 17, 2017) (“Appointment Order”). Relying on “the authority vested” in the Acting Attorney General, “including 28 U.S.C. §§ 509, 510, and 515,” the Acting Attorney General ordered the appointment of a Special Counsel “in order to discharge [the Acting Attorney General’s] responsibility to provide supervision and management of the Department of Justice, and to ensure a full and thorough investigation of the Russian government’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.”

But there was no collusion and yet there were multiple arrests. Maybe the investigation was about both?

Lol don't be stupid. The sole reason was to see if Trump colluded.

Lol you say that the investigation wasn't about Russian interference. Then provide a document that literally says appointment of special counsel to INVESTIGATE RUSSIAN INTERFERENCE right at the top.

The stupidity is astounding.

Its always fun to watch Trumpers bounce back and force between Russian didn't interfere and they did but it didn't matter and OK but why didn't Obama stop it? As if the answers to all of those questions haven't been hashed and rehashed about a dozen times in this very thread, with these very participants.

If Goldfish had fingers I'd be tempted to think they're on jazzfanz.

@Joe Bagadonuts

An interesting piece about John Solomon, who appears to be linked to Russian oligarch Dmitry Firtash directly

Your statement appears to be unsupported by the claims in that article. I have hired lawyers before. Does that mean that I appear to be directly linked to every other client my lawyers represent? I will agree with you that they are indirectly linked as the result of a decision that his lawyers have made. It's going to be fascinating to watch this whole thing play out. The web is very, very, very tangled.

Find one poster here that said they didn't interfere.

Lol the premise of the investigation was to find if Trump colluded. You call me stupid but it's common sense. This would've never happened if there wasn't suspicion of collusion.

We'll see once a little transparency happens after the vote. I was right that Russia was absolutely nothing so we'll see on this. What crow have you eaten on the nothing burger that Russia was? Spare me with conspiracies as well. Absolutely nothing came out of a 3 year 30 million dollar waste.

Just was reading about the new Senate Report that allegedly showed conclusive evidence of Soviet interference, probably what Thriller was referring to. I don't buy it; I don't buy a lot of stuff that comes from our government. Remember, both parties are deeply corrupted.
