Decent game by Trey. Still think Exum has more upside.

No one can complement Trey without a little slight.
Nice win in possibly the ugliest game this season. What I can't get around is that 0 again by Exum, a starter should make at least 1 point a game...
I can't stand the blatant hate for Burke. Guy could score 30 points on 50% shooting, save your wives and children from a house fire then cross Narnia and create world peace and you'd still say he's "had a decent game but I think Exum has more upside."
Guy has won us a couple of games or has kept up us in games... But people still call for his head. Why?
He's currently a worse overall shooter and more inconsistent than Burke, which is really saying something. It's a huge hit to the team when he gets pulled for his poor shooting because he's better than Burke at the other things that matter for a PG (namely perimeter defense and getting others involved in the offense).

Because people look at more than total points scored?

Frankly if that were happening we would all be ecstatic. But it's not. Instead he scores 16 on 5-20 shooting and 0 assists, 0 steals and 3 turnovers. In that case his 16 points was negated by how many crappy shots he took and how he plays little to no defense. Then he occasionally has a game that breaks that mold and maybe shoots 40% or 45% and suddenly he is God incarnate.
Trust me if he were shooting anywhere near 50%...EVER...he would be our darling. Instead he is our red-headed step-child.
Ok but if we're down 9 and no one's scoring but all of a sudden Trey comes in and knocks down two 3s that put us within 3, he gets no cred for that..
