I hate the Lakers. Good win.

Lakers fans sucks. Reading NBA foruns they talked **** about all of our players. Disgusting team.

Counting up we would have 6 more wins and tied with the Pelicans in 9th place if we just made the league average in free throws in those close games. Kinda fun (or frustrating) to think about. Don't know why I'm obsessed with the free throw right now.

Holy crap that was frustrating to watch lol. like... really frustrating. good win, but not a game i'd want to rewatch lol

I live to see the Lakers lose, more so to see the Jazz beat them. This game had me cursing through all 4 quarters, but very very happy with the outcome. In my mind there is no reason why we should ever lose to the Lakers. The rivalry between the Jazz and Lakers has been going on for so many years, this match up always holds a little more weight to it. Good win for us, we made it hard on ourselves but we got the DUB-YA.

Exum really needs to be more aggressive.. And make the wide opens. The defense always know that he will pass the ball

No one can complement Trey without a little slight.

Actually, I'm one of Trey's bigger critics, and I thought he was great tonight. Especially at the end of the game when the Jazz needed someone to step up.

I wish Dante had Trey's confidence. With Exum's physical abilities and defense, that level of offensive confidence would make him damn near unstoppable. I agree with the post by LifeOnAPlate. I think they both have upside, but Exum's is in a whole other stratosphere.

Nice win in possibly the ugliest game this season. What I can't get around is that 0 again by Exum, a starter should make at least 1 point a game...

He's currently a worse overall shooter and more inconsistent than Burke, which is really saying something. It's a huge hit to the team when he gets pulled for his poor shooting because he's better than Burke at the other things that matter for a PG (namely perimeter defense and getting others involved in the offense).

I can't stand the blatant hate for Burke. Guy could score 30 points on 50% shooting, save your wives and children from a house fire then cross Narnia and create world peace and you'd still say he's "had a decent game but I think Exum has more upside."

Guy has won us a couple of games or has kept up us in games... But people still call for his head. Why?

Frankly if that were happening we would all be ecstatic. But it's not. Instead he scores 16 on 5-20 shooting and 0 assists, 0 steals and 3 turnovers. In that case his 16 points was negated by how many crappy shots he took and how he plays little to no defense. Then he occasionally has a game that breaks that mold and maybe shoots 40% or 45% and suddenly he is God incarnate.

Trust me if he were shooting anywhere near 50%...EVER...he would be our darling. Instead he is our red-headed step-child.

It really doesn't say much at all. He gets a partial pass for being a rookie going up against vets every night. I am much more interested in his defensive effort since that is a personal pride thing while offense is what every kid plays from 5 years old on. His offense will come along fine. I just hope he keeps turning up his defense.

Now for Burke there is no excuse other than he is a chucker.

Because he looks too much like Obama?

Because people look at more than total points scored?

I resent that remark...

Edit: *but I agree with the rest.*

exum isn't better at anything than trey other than his defense and length. trey is much better floor general than exum. that's saying alot because trey 'ok at best' floor general.

Trey Burke has my unconditional love-- and that's all that matters.
