**** THE OFFICIAL: Why Jazz Fanz should be EXCITED thread ****

LOL.. this just keeps getting better:

- Kings gets better

- GSW gets worse

Fantastic!
Cavs just might have a chance at finishing with a better record than Utah. And after EVERYTHING went right for GS last season, maybe they'll just barely sneak into the playoffs (or barely miss somehow).

Man, Golden State has completely lost their bench.

****. Yes.

Detroit, Cavs, and Kings all getting better and GS getting worse.

Guys, I'm going to cry. :''''''')

Even good ol' Portland is getting better:

- POR gets better

- GSW likely gets pushed down

Portland has reached agreement on a two-year deal with free agent Dorell Wright, league source tells Y! Sports.

I love what Rip City did this summer. Went from zero depth whatsoever to Thomas Robinson, Robin Lopez, Dorrell Wright + CJ McCollum. Nice.

Hahahaha... and it all seems to have started from this:

David Locke ‏@Lockedonsports 5h
Dennis Lindsey earlier this year on @1280sports "we are not skipping steps in rebuild. We will be patient and have a pain tolerance."

Is that "growing pain"?? i.e., watching the young guys develop through it???

I love it.

That pain will go away next year when KOC and Lindsey are sipping margaritas after drafting an all-star player with their #5 pick.

Seriously guys, did you ever think cheering for OTHER teams to get better would be this much fun?

Lol.

Looking at the teams that picked ahead of us in the draft, I think six of them have a legit shot at being better than us next season (Cavs, Pelicans, Kings, Pistons, T-Wolves, Blazers).

I'm in the plants nursery business.

And what most people don't know is - for potted plants - you need to take the plant out of the pot, and chop off about 1/2 of the root ball, and put new potting mix in, for the plants to be healthy. You need to do this once every 1-2 years, depending on what type of plant it is and the size pot (the smaller the pot, the more often you need to do this).

When I tell my customers this they were all surprised: "Is it really OK to chop off the roots?????!! Are you sure it's not going to KILL THEM???!!!!!!"

OH yes definitely - you need to do it to encourage new root growth.

========================================

I believe this is effectively what we're currently doing with our team - you need to chop off old rots - to encourage the growth of younger, more healthy roots. If you notice, teams like OKC does this every 1-2 years as well - they do everything they can to continually bring in young, promising players (Jeremy Lamb, PJIII, Adams...).

We're doing something similar by shooting for top #10 pick in the '14 draft, and collecting picks stretching out to '17.

It's science. It's nature. It's life.

I'm crazy for saying this. But I'm actually excited to see this team lose. We all know scoring is going to be rough. But to watch this young team play win or lose has me excited!

Yup. We've been saying this for years.

The Jazz will lose a ton of games, but I bet attendance is just as good and they sell more merchandise than they did last year.
