The One-Day-Early Let's-Do-It-Again thread - 11/4 da Spurs

I like how the Jazz matchup with pretty much every team these days. Big scoring wings with Hayward, Hood, and JJ, size and athleticism everywhere, and solid defenders at each level.

Go Jazz!

Looking forward to a competitive game and hopefully a win!

Welp. We didn't get either. Spurs are going to Spurs

The Jazz just couldn't overcome that 1st quarter. Oh well, not that I like it but they got the W in San Antonio. Honestly, 3-3 where 4 games are against teams that will probably be in the Top 5 isn't too bad. Hell, the Lakers may even be decent this year.

If they can go 3-2 on this road trip, then Hayward comes back, I think the Jazz will be sitting in a good position.

Tonight was an automatic loss after 2 minutes in. Pop called a timeout and yelled at the officials for 90% of it.
They called a win for San Antonio after it.
Snyder needs to get a few T's to stand up for his guys. He never does it. And he needs to.

I agree with this. I don't like to see a coach get Ts all the time, but for chrissakes get 7 or so a season.

Positives:
Exum - I saw him attacking more, grabbing a lot of rebounds, and looking more confident.
Hood - Had some sweet moves/shots early, and generally had a good overall game.
JJ - I thought he played a good game, and hit some tough shots early.

Negatives:
Withey - Granted he didnt play much, but he just doesnt bring much energy or anything to the game. His defense was disappointing.
Favors - Will he ever be healthy enough to dominate a season? He might be the odd man out when we make decisions who to keep out of our core.
Lyles - The Spurs ate him alive. His offense was off too. These are the types of games we'll get from a second year player.

Spurs just out played us. We really do lack an energy/hustle guy. We don't have a lot fire and passion on the team. Its the one thing
that worries me about trying to compete and be one of the NBAs best teams.

I think everyone is still feeling good heading into the road trip. Hoping for at least 3 wins.

We sucked in the paint. Our bigs sucked. The refs took us out of it. Hill, Hood, JJ, Exum and Jingles played pretty decent. Spurs had great D inside.

Our three point shooters are looking good this year at least (except Lyles).

JJ .550
Ingles .462
Hill .441
Hood .424
Exum .333
Lyles .273

Rough game. Hopefully Snyder makes adjustments and the players learn from it. Playing a team like the Spurs - win or lose - should always give teaching points to both the coach and players.

After this game, I look forward to seeing which players play well against the Knicks.

Yes it is the refs fault yall lost. Just face the truth the Spurs are a better team, Aint no shame in admitting this. Spurs are better then most of the teams in the league. This is why the Jazz are and were never a threat for a top 4 team. They can beat bottom feeders and lottery bound teams but when it comes to playoff teams they cannot. This is because they don't have a star. A team full of role players will only take you so far in this game.

If it makes anyone feel better Trey Burke when 0-3, 0 assists, 0 points tonight.

Yet you wonder why Jazz are never a big name free agent destination. Because of crap like this. Just hating and hating all the time on a guy who isn't even in your division. Talk about being petty and the most F'ed up part is others below so yes it makes them feel better. Sad it really is,. Utah Jazz fans are like college athletics fans. They take it so personal. Gues sthat is because your the only pro team in town. Most fans of teams don't act like this. How bout them Lakers however. Beat down GSW last night, I have never seen Utah do that in past couple years. Lakers future is brighter and any Jazz fan is in LALA land if they think Utah has the brighter future.

You dotn have a star plain and simple. Stars win in this league, not a team full of role players. Jazz scare nobody in the league. #truthhurts

Every team hates on their scrubs.

Didn't the Jazz just beat the Spurs in San Antonio four days ago? Or is your memory just not capable of going back that far?

Plus I didn't blame the refs at all for the loss. You sound like the typical CSU grad, though even they aren't that dumb.
