The Walking Dead

I must have missed it but how long was the roadtrip for Rick, Carl, and Michonne? If it was a long trip, that's a pretty big trip to take while the prison could be under attack at any time and without the certainty of such things as gasoline and the availability of guns. If it was a short trip, how the **** did Officer Rick not know that the prison was right there when they were wandering around? That would be like living in Riverton and wishing there was a secure place like a prison somewhere near and wandering aimlessly hoping to stumble across it.

It does not say but the episode takes place in the course of a day and it does not appear that they took any camping supplies with them.

I thought of it more in the way I guess he made a full circle, out of the town, to ATL, to the CDC to the farm, wandering for a year (end of season 2 to start of season 3) finding the prison and now back to the town. To fit an answer to my own liking I am imagining a trip like from Ogden to Provo, or maybe SLC to St George at longest.

But beside YB's question I thought it was a great episode personally.

lets say it is summer daylight is there for 14-15 hours.
so 6 hours drive 3 hours in town 6 back.
fits nicely
how much ground can you cover in 6 hours atleast 350-400 miles.
do sherrifs know every prison in a 350-400 miles radius?
note that this is at the low ednd could bee 600-700 miles

Yeah I didn't have as big of an issue with as I said I could explain it away in my head, also in my analogy it would be about a 4hr drive, so fits close to what you also said.

Why don't Rick and them just move their group to the town? That place seemed pretty ****ing awesome. They would have to do some clear out, but the guy already had some **** set up. They could do what the Governor is doing in his town with barricades and ****. It was raise morale because people would be living in actual town buildings, not a ****ty old prison that is too big for them to properly fortify or patrol.

I thought the same thing even before they showed it was actually Morgan (but then I was 90% sure that's who it was anyway) plus it the Governor wouldn't even know where they went, so it would be good if they wanted to run as opposed to fight. Downside is I'm sure the Governor would like the prison for himself for whatever twisted things he decides.

Did the Governor really have no idea about the prison before hand? Isn't it less than a days walk to the prison from the town where he is at?

Man, Rick sucks. I would have totally shot the governor and told him to eat a dick.

That is what I was thinking. Blow him away right off and then wack the henchman he brought with him and that doctor guy and then move on. Send Andrea back to Woodbury with the message of this is what happens when you mess with us. Stay on your side of the river and we will stay on ours.

Need to fill 3 more episodes with suspense though.

Oh, I understand it from a story perspective. I also liked how Darryl and the Governors man were sizing each other up witht he way they killed walkers. Possible face off as the side show to Michonne/Governor?

I also how Glenn finally got his dick wet. He is quickly joining Daryl as the only likable character again.

I'm actually liking him less and less, just not pulling off the tough guy leader schtick for me. I liked him better when he was just a nice dude.

That is kind of the point in my eyes. He knows, as do those around him, that he cannot fill Rick's shoes but he has to do something.

I like Michonne, Glenn, Maggie, Carl (more and mopre), Darryl and the Governors henchman. I am on the fence about Rick and Merle.

I just don't like watching him act tough, its uncomfortable. I used to hate Rick more than anyone on the show because he was always putting the group in bad situations because of his morality. Now that he has little morality left I'm beginning to like him more and more. Merle is just meh, but at least he is kind of funny occasionally.

The gov not trying something funny at the meeting is out of character. But he is kind of crazy I guess so maybe a pass there.

I like the development of michone and merl. Less one-demensional now
