What's new

The Walking Dead

Why you keep bringing that up?

Just saying you are the only person dull enough to still find the show to be good.

Lol, we all know better.

I like it and your opinion of that, or anything else for that matter, really doesn't bother me. hate away Cy. hate away.

Not saying it should bother you. You can enjoy rinse/wash/repeat story lines all you want.

With all due respect to Cyrone, I still read the books and am watching the show. It can be repetitive, but then they hit you with an episode like last night, a twist on the books. Pretty damn good episode and emotional.

They killed the only interesting character the show had left. How is that good?

Last night was a tense episode. I didn't expect it to play out so fast though. I think Michonne, Darryl, Maggie and Carl have promising stories that they could build off of.

Plus there are three new characters we have not seen enough of to judge yet, Abraham, Rosita and Eugene.

All the main characters are melodramatic and terrible actors.

Characters on this show just have 0 depth. The acting is awful and the writing is there to match.

I don't know why I still watch, but I'm never on the edge of my seat or wondering what will happen next. Every move the show makes is telegraphed.

I don't know why I still watch.

I'm wondering the same thing. There have been a lot of shows that I loved at first and then they lost their luster for me so I stopped watching. Then there are shows like "Dexter" where I wish I would have stopped. I'm still enjoying this and know there's no resolution coming, just characters being killed off and new characters added. There's still a few to be added, if they follow the books.

I still hold out a sliver of hope something unique or interesting happens. Actually thought the crazy girl had a lot of potential to do some crazy stuff. They should have had her kill everyone in that small group.

Carroll is annoying.
I don't even know the black guy's name, he is that dull of a character.

I feel there are some good actors. Carol was believable in her pain on last nights show. Michonne can act as well. As for the depth of their characters. The last half of this season has done nothing but flesh them out.

Michonnes past, Carl's dynamic with his father, Beth bringing Darryl back from the edge, Carol's grief and feelings of failure, Maggie and Glenn's love, Sasha being so afraid of finding out if Tyrese is dead or not, Bob being so driven by not being alone...

The episodes have been slower but they are trying to directly address the fan complaint of no depth to the character.

All their emotions and problems are very surface level though and the way they are told is just bland. Compare it a show like Breaking Bad where the characters had much more complex levels of depth.

I'm not going to even try as there isn't a comparrison, BB is clearly better. My point was that the WD was headed in the right direction as far as character development and depth.

If you compare any show to "Breaking Bad", you're gonna come up short. I enjoy "Walking Dead" as a diversion, something that I can watch and enjoy without having to think too much. I think too many people started watching the show for the zombies and are now bored because the show is not about zombies (I'm not saying this applies to you). I enjoy post-apocalyptic stories and this show fits that category. Would I miss it if it was gone? Probably not, but I make sure to watch it when it's on.

I don't mind if the show isn't mainly about Zombies, but they just use them as filler right now.

I think that the show is trying to move on to person to person interaction in a zombie world. Zombies are now the back drop and not the main threat.

I am quite curious on what Terminus turns out to be. Also since they ran from the jail and are on foot they can not have gone to far. You would think that Terminus would already have been known about. Especially by the Governor.

Terminus is interesting, but will be boring if it's just another Governor situation.

Also sure the rest of the season will just be more of these boring episodes where max 1 interesting thing happens in a hour.

There are only 2 episodes left this season. Then it is pushed off till October.

This new format that weekly shows are taking is really annoying. 6 episodes then 6 months off. 6 episodes then 6 months off...ugh

Truth. I hate that. I don't know if they are just going for scarcity driving the "price" up, so to speak, or what, but I would much prefer to have one solid season with the occasional week off for holiday stuff or sporting events. I can't stand this format.

He is the boxer that refused to enforce for the name of Avon Barksdale.
