They Are Watching You

I love how all the morons on ksl are blaming the (current) president for this. Lol. Yes.... Congress has no responsibility.... No other president can be blamed.... It's all Obama.

Because, obviously bush never pushed through and passed the Patriot Act while these same morons bitching now were cheerleading his constitutional trampling then. Because the government never spied on anyone in the 80s.... And that whole red scare thing? Yeah... Just something made up in the history books.... Because the government never spied on anyone until now.

The bottom line is, regardless of whether your boy is in the White House, stand up for freedom. Or security. But decide which and stick with it. dont change because a R is in the white house or a D. be true to yourself. Enough partisan games.

It's just so funny how suddenly now repubs are concerned about freedom while they were silent or waving the pompoms as their boy pissed all over the constitution. Had Romney been elected I'm sure all the bitchers right now would be praising him for keeping is safe.

Ya bitch if something bad happens and demand security. Then you bitch when security is provided.

What the hell does this country want? Other than to bitch until their boy gets elected?

If anyone even suggests repealing the pat act they're instantly labeled as being soft on terrorism. Surrendering. What does this country want?

I'm not big on conspiracies, but if there is some evil doers at work here the best thing they could hope for is that half the people would blame the other half and vice versa and in the bickering no one would really look or even care what was going on because they're consumed with this ultimate struggle between good and evil (R vs D or D vs R, take your pick) taking place...and they helped.

PRISM was a different program than the National Security Letter given to Verizon. With the NSL, Verizon had to give the information. With PRISM, the government just took it directly.

At the heart of this, we have the government spying on it's people. I should care about this a lot more than I do, but I just can't bring myself to care if the government knows what I do with my spare time. I really don't understand why I don't care all that much.. I just don't. If they want to hear what I should pick up at the store, or where I'm going camping, or what time I'll arrive at the party I'm going to, or what time I'm going to sleep with my mistress(Hi EJ!) instead of my girlfriend, great. Let them know. I understand how this can be concern, and that concern could be very valid, it's just not a concern for me.

But I do care that they kept it a secret. And I will say that if we're going to continue this, we need to have a very strict transparency policy, and make rules and regulations on who in the Government can listen to these calls. Obviously, you can't have a guy that lives in Tampa listening to his neighbors calls. That just leaves too large a chance for abuse. But, say, the people in Cincinatti listening in to the people in Denver's calls make a little more sense.

maybe you dont care cus you sit on your lazy butt all the time.
all the men (and women and gays) who fought for your liberties.
only to be taken away while you sit with your tumb up your *** and your index finger up your nose.

on day the people will rise again to this tyrany/communism etc. only for the cycle to continue and eyars later bums like you who just dont care

Lets suppose we eliminated ALL government spying on Americans.

It would take maybe 24 hrs for some crime, terrorist action, or something unpleasant to happen for the people to automatically "forget" their desire for freedom and to demand "security."

In the end, Americans don't know what the hell they want. Other than to bitch and complain until their boy is in the White House. I guarantee you, so many who are crying for Obama to be impeached, the spying to end, etc would be dead silent/rationalizing had Bro. Romney been elected.

You really gotta do that bro? Take it to the "You don't know how many men, women and children died for you not to care!" extent? You're missing the key element that these people died for. They died for freedom. Just because your vision of freedom and mine differ doesn't mean I'm shi***ng on their graves.

That's your rally cry? OMG GUN CONTROL! GUV'MENT SPEYING!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets go back to your first line of reply to me at all. "maybe you dont care cus you sit on your lazy butt all the time."

What, praytell, do you do that you don't want the government to be watching you do?

For me nothing. They could know everything I do and my life wouldn't chnage. But it is the principle. They have no business knowing where I am all the time or what I am doing. It is baby steps. One thing leads to another.

But is it? Yes, theoretically it's the baby steps that make something terrible happen and get approval. But that's where Transparency works to the populations advantage:

1. They know exactly when, and exactly how far a line is being crossed.
2. With Transparency, should a need to actually have another revolution arise, the public knows exactly what they CAN'T do in order to get caught.

One thing i now know.
is at first i felt sorry for all those american sodliers dying overseas in their fight for "freedom".
afghanistan, iraq etc etc.
now i wish more would have died.
and if ever they occupy a country i would live in.
io would kill as many of those hypocritical soldiers.
nothing personal against them.

but hey **** them

Wow.

yes wow
how would you feel if some countries military invades your hometown.
preach that they will bring you freedom, while its a big lie.

would you ben dover and take it up the ****ing ***?
or would you fight and kill as many of those ******** as you can.
or do some sort of resistance.

I want to reply to this but not now. This afternoon.

I also have no problem with this, at all. I have nothing to hide and am not doing anything the government could possibly care about. If they want to watch me yank it and watch basketball on my comp have at it and I apologize in advance for my huge, unkept bush.

I'm glad they're watching all of you. Because if one of you decided to plot against the country, a state, a city, a town, a person..... I would hope they could use this info to hunt you down. No skin off my ***.

Again, I should have issue with this, but I don't. The price of technological advancement in my book. If you don't like that much, the answer is simple: unplug. As far as I'm concerned, I would hope my government would do everything in its power to protect me and my family aka its ****ing job.

The reason I don't care is because these things stir up both sides of the divide. That's all the evidence I need that liberty isn't some lost cause that libertarians make everything out to be. If tides change then Ill care more less.

I'd rather have the occassional terrorist attack instead of handing over all my privacy and freedoms. Your odds of dying as a result of a terrorist attack are 1 in 20 million.

But it's a fruitless hope. Barring some kind of major revolution the government will continue to do what it wants when it wants. Whether or not they let you know about it is the question.

yeah your odds of dying in a car crahs are bigger than in a terrorist attack.
are we banning cars?

i would happily give cars away before my freedom.

also note: with every freedom taken away wheter you care about that particular freedom or not. is a win for the terorist. ahhahaha

AMERICA SUCKS BALLS

i SAID it
and if ever a American army occupies the countries where i live in i will resist and kil as many soldiers as i can.
cus they are the ****ing villians.
