We just got blown out by Denver... We really suck lately... The only thing to be excited about as a Jazzfan is Donovan Mitchell, the new threads, and I guess Rudy Gobert but he's been disappointing a little bit due mostly to injury.

So this said, where do you stand on the morale question of tanking? Doesn't Donovan need help? Wouldn't it be better for the long term future of the franchise to shut Gobert down the rest of the season and then for Quin to play lineups he knows can't be successful?

And benching Hood. This isn't a simple "reload" or whatever. This is another rebuild around another young guy. The difference is, the Jazz need to recognize this NOW rather than during Mitchell's second contract.

The win streak really effed the tank up. Unless we trade Thabo, Hood, Favs we won’t be able to tank hard enough.

The tank door owned with Rudy injuries but we refused to walk through it.

A tank is not something you can half ***. You have to commit and we didn’t do it earlier this year... doubt we do it now when there is a lower chance of a successful tank.

There is no tank. The Jazz aren't bad enough to totally tank, but not good enough to probably make the playoffs. So it goes. The Jazz seem to find talent in the mid to late part of the draft so I'm not terribly worried.

CJ hood I mean Rodney Miles is what he is. A streak shooter who’s usually off.

That is a very terrible comparison. Hood is currently shooting 41.6% from 3 on 7.1 attempts. CJ has never come close to those type of elite 3 point shooting in his career. Hood is not usually off this year. His injuries are a concern.

The Jazz don't have enough offensive versatility to score against the better defenses in the league (i.e., playoff teams). Hayward was our #1 scorer and playmaker. The Rubio experiment hasn't worked so far, and Mitchell can't make up for both Hayward and Hill. In other words, this is a flawed team. You can't expect guys like Sefalosha, Jerebko or Ingles to be go-to scorers when defenses key in on them.

We can possibly make the playoffs and maybe win a game or two depending on the matchup, but I don't see how we can actually win a series. We're better off making some proactive personnel moves if the opportunity arises. We may ultimately be headed for our perennial #12 pick again.

Oh, and Rodney Hood should be a 3rd option on offense. He's still not really a guy to run the offense through because he doesn't really adjust to what the defense is doing. He's a guy who should spot up like Dennis Scott used to do ages ago for those Shaq Orlando teams.

The debate is pretty much meaningless - The Jazz are not going to tank.

However, I have to say, The Jazz would have a completely unwatchable product if it weren't for Donavan Mitchell - a rookie that has exceeded everyone's wildest expectations.

DL should ponder that fact at length.

I don't think we have to or will tank. However, we are absolutely stupid if we don't trade guys who are just going to leave this summer.

Favors and JoeJ represent $23 million of expiring contracts. No other team in the entire league has that much in tradeable expirings. DL really needs to get creative acquiring a strong asset or two using those.

I don't think any teams wants JJ. He really looks old. Like Father Time caught up with him.

I disagree. The Jazz looked like the Washington Generals last night with Rudio doing his Red Klotz imitation. If they play like that the rest of the year they will win zero games.

Shut down Rudy? He'll probably be back in a couple of weeks. It's not that serious of an injury. But I would bring him back slowly to ensure that he is healed.

Yes, we need to trade JJ. I don't think he's done though. I just think he needs to get his legs back. He was out for quite a while. I think he probably could help a team in the playoffs.

Rubio has to go though. He's not helping himself or the Jazz by continuing to play for the Jazz. He's playing probably the worst in all his career. When Neto comes back, I would send him to the bench and share back-up duties with Neto, and look for a trade partner. Maybe we can package him with JJ, or even Favors. I think we should look to trade Favors before the trade deadline because we will be able to get something for him. If we wait, he may just walk.

I think we keep Thabo, Jerebko, and Udoh -- they are solid bench players.

And let's hope that Dante can come back to play some before the end of the season and see how he fits with DM. They looked good together in Summer League.

Hood can be a great weapon when he's on. But when he's off, he is pretty much useless. One solution for him, I think, would be to improve his ability to go to the hoop, so when he's off he can at least get some points at the foul line. It would be great if he could develop a post game like JJ -- that being said, I see his ceiling as a 6th man of the year-type player.

Voted no as the Jazz don't really tank. They will try to win games and let the chips fall where they may. They are punting this year.
