also from what I can gather there is no buyout clause in his contract so it will have to be negotiated. it will depend on what fc Barcelona feels he is worth.

If we are talking possible big man rotations for next season is it a good time to ask if Kanter will be back in the fall? Any ideas about what shape he will be in after shoulder surgery?
If Kanter isn't back or is limited it could change what the Jazz have to do in the draft and FA and with Tomic.

Especially when you play on a Spanish team. I'm sure there are multiple nationalities on that team and the common language is probably English.
Oh yeah, Kanter should be healthy well before the start of Summer League.

to me it did. I thought that was more on a player that is not currently playing for the Jazz than KOC has ever said. He also said that There will definitely be talks this summer. I would say it sounds more likely from that than I have ever heard. I guess what I should say is that if there is going to be a time that Tomic is going to play for the Jazz, this is the most likely it has ever been yet.

oh its a reach for sure. But he is not getting any younger. I think its this year, next year, or never for Tomic if he wants to play for the Jazz.
Pablo Prigoni joined the Knicks as rookie at age 36. Tomic could come over whenever he wants to if he is good enough and needed.

If he said more about Tomic than usual, then that's probably because the jazz PR machine has switched to a heavier dose of Youth and New Prospects. If what he said just fired you up, then it is working.

Dammit, I am such a sucker sometime. The last time I got stoked on Tomic, I decided I would not do that again. And as soon as there is a thread about it, what do I do? Eff Kevin O'Conner.
True for the first part. But when the questions were asked about Tomic last year, KOC was decidedly more pessimistic, even though Tomic was a free agent then and would have had no buyout.
If I recall correctly, it was Gordon Monson who asked the question. KOC didn't bring it up on his own. I don't consider Monson part of the Jazz's PR machine (though I know where you're coming from if you do.)
I'm in the camp that says the odds of him coming this year or next are better than ever. But I still would not be confident enough to say that the odds are even 50/50.
I think it shows he is still on the Jazz radar. Seems like there is interest, but can we pull it off is another story.
